"Awesome party, dude!"
"Turn up the music!"
"Fuck yeah!"
This was insanity.
There were people passed out in the yard. The music made the whole neighborhood shake. I was afraid to go upstairs.
I walked to the kitchen and saw that Ryan and Chase had decided to have a chug race. Chase, the alcohol expert, obviously beat Ryan.
"Congrats Chase," I grabbed everyone's attention, "You're an alcoholic."
Everyone laughed and the kids beside Chase punched his shoulder.
"I had one beer," He wiggled the empty beer around, "I'm rather high though."
I giggled but moved on from that room and went to the backyard.
"Yo, Lucy!" Someone called.
"Ayyy, what's good?" I pointed at the person that'd first called my name.
I couldn't see who it was, but I pointed in the general area I'd heard the noise come from.
"This party's lit!" I finally noticed that Timothy and Ethan were the two people in the darkness.
"Glad you like it."
Ethan spoke up, "James is looking for you."
"Awesome, I'll go find him."
Ethan lifted his beer as a goodbye. I turned around before I was too far away and yelled at Ethan, "Alex is looking for you too."
He nodded and turned to talk to Timothy real quick before going off to find his lady. I walked off back into the house with a mission: find James.
It'd been a solid 10 minutes and he was still nowhere to be found. I decided it's about time to face my fears and go upstairs. Hopefully, he was up here since downstairs was a bust.
And this is why you don't go upstairs.
This was sex city. Ugh, in my own home. The hall was littered with couples going at it. Full throttle man.
"These people need Jesus," I whispered as I made my way to my room.
The door was closed. Welp, today's the day I'm scarred for life. I opened the door and thankfully no weird noises filled my ears. When my eyes shot to the bed I only saw James sprawled about. The kid fell asleep while this disaster is going on?
I closed the door behind me and made sure it was locked before I continued to analyze the situation at hand. I hoped that he was just tired, but the most probable reality was that he was passed out drunk. Fucking idiot.
I grabbed him and shook his body around, "James! Wake up."
He grunted. At least he was alive.
"Come on, you're on my bed!"
He grunted again but managed to slide to the left enough so I had room to get in. That'd have to make do. I turned the tv on and let That's 70s Show play as I tried to make James regain some consciousness. The boy was a struggle and a half.
"Finally," I exasperated when he began to stir.
"Guacamole!" He yelled.
I chuckled, "You want guac?"
He slowly sat up on the bed a little. His weight distribution was off so he had to lean on me for stability.
"I could go for guac."
