"You didn't come over."
"I fell asleep."
"Excuses."
"I'm sorry I can't sleep walk up the side of your house and through the window."
"At least try next time."
"Sorry, I should be better."
"Anyway, we should get going."
I nod my head and lock my front door behind me before following James to his car.
Yesterday, I waited up till 2am seeing if James would come. He never showed. I was disappointed, but at the same time understood that he couldn't always be at my beck and call. I can't demand the world of him. Just some small countries will have to do.
I'm allowed to pout anyway. I want him to feel kind of guilty. Enough for free kisses not too much that he thinks I want to break up with him. A fine line.
"Stef and Chase can wait a little. I haven't finished pouting," I frown.
"You can pout in the car."
I smile and clap my hands, "Yay."
I can see James roll his eyes from across the car.
"It might be dark but I can still see you rolling your eyes at me."
"I do it out of love."
"Even you don't believe that one."
He shrugs, "Thought I'd give it a shot."
"Oh so you can try that but not sleepwalking through the neighborhood."
"Just get in the car."
"Bossy," I smirk and do as I'm told.
We were definitely gonna be late to our double date with Stef and Chase. Oops.
"Did you're parents say something?" James starts a conversation.
"About?"
"Us."
"No, unless you count 5 hours of questioning something."
"That bad?"
"That bad. At least we're still virgins, otherwise I couldn't live been stuck for 10 hours."
"You told them we're virgins?"
My face drops, "Yeah."
"Oh, I'm not a virgin," He plainly states.
He's not a virgin. Wait, does that mean Lily and him? No, no. Ridiculous. Gross. Eww, not a nice image.
"You've?" I lose the rest of my sentence.
"Yeah," He nods his head.
My heart sinks. I guess I'd always had this idea in the back of my mind that said we'd be each other's firsts. Stupid since we just started dating. I can be so naive. He was allowed to do whatever he wanted with whoever he pleases. Still stings.
James quickly looks over to me and gives me a sly smile when he sees my frown. I'm no good at hiding my feelings.
"Kidding."
What. The. Fuck.
