"What?!"
"Yeah."
"What the actual fuck?!"
"No fucking," I try to lighten the mood.
"Not now!" Stef yells and stops pacing around the room to face me, "Why the hell did you not tell me?"
Stef collapses face first beside me on the bed. Exhaling deeply while turning around so she could look at me. Stef was taking this to new levels I could've never imagined.
"I'm sorry for not telling you," I turn to look at her.
"Sorry doesn't cut it," she looks at me angrily, "Tell me everything and I'll think about forgiving you."
"Ok ok look," I sit her up by her upper arms.
I tell her the whole story, with more detail this time. I left no detail out. By the time I was done the sun was setting and the day had passed by, yet we were still stuck in the past.
"I can't believe you. Holy shit... fuck!"
"You done?" I question with a slight smile creeping on my lips.
"Yeah, I'm good. I just can't believe you. And you never told me!" She outbursts once again.
"We'd promised not to tell anyone. Until now I guess. It's something him and I don't talk about. I'm sorry."
"I'm not mad," Stef assures me.
"Well, we realized that it was weird."
"Ugh, if I'd known. Oh my god," Stef sighs.
I just look at her. Confusion ever present at her weirdness.
"Wow. I ship Jucy more than ever!" She yells.
"No. No. No!" I get louder as I repeat myself.
"Yes."
"Did you not listen to me just say to you that it was a mistake? That it had happened?"
"First of all, chill your tits. Now, it never actually happened. You guys never became official or even went on a date. I don't think you realize that your 'mistake'," she adds air quotes, "was nothing. Not to be rude but it was not Jucy material."
I look at her flabbergasted, "How dare you not call me Jucy material. I am the literal definition."
"Correction: half of Jucy. You're not all that."
I poke her for making that stupid joke. Stef pokes back. We end up on the floor, laughing hysterically. Clutching our stomachs we try to calm down after what must've been 10 minutes. "I'm gonna head out. You know, try to enjoy my day off without you nagging at me."
"Lame and rude."
"Whatever. See ya."
I leave Stef's house and head home. I jump in the shower as soon as I get home. As soon I as get out and get dressed in a comfy pair of sweats I call James. I needed to tell him that Stef knew about our forgotten history.
"Yellow."
"Green."
"Blue."
"Red."
"Orange."
"What up homie?"
"Never say that again," James chuckles through the phone.
"I got tired of playing the color game, can you blame me?" I try to suppress my laugh.
James laugh tumbled through the phone into my ear and it causes me to laugh with him.
