CHAPTER 5: I Love You

"Aaaaaah, Aaaaaah, Aaaaah."

"Calm down, calm down!! I've got you!!" The Entity holds her tightly. Her shivering body wraps around him, like an octopus.

There was no way she would let go.

He pats her back warmly as he burries his face into the crook of her neck. "Ssh I got you. You're not on fire anymore."

Her red blistering skin, had already regenerated back to it's milky white countenance.

The Overseer slowly calms down listening to his soothing husky voice.

He could see her pearl like tears on her lashes. She looked so pitiful. He didn't want her to be in pain.

He knew how much courage it required to even face all of her mistakes and to even change.

So he was thankful.

If she wanted to, she could've killed him. Or ignored him, continuing her rampage in these worlds.

But she didn't.

She changed instead.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry." She continues to mumble in his chest.

He sighs. "It's okay little Overseer. It's over. You managed to make some people forgive you, elevating the darkness in my heart. It's enough for me, so don't cry."

She suddenly pulls away from him, making abrupt eye contact. "No... I was apologising to you. I'm sorry."

The Entity was shocked speechless. "Why are you apologising?" He couldn't help but laugh. His green eyes lighting up like jewels.

She holds his cheeks in her hands making him hold still. "I'm being serious. I am sorry. Because of me... You will forever deal with an imbalance in the heart. I am sorry."

Her sincere gaze made his heart feel warm.

He couldn't help but smile sweetly. Even the mole next to his mouth was smiling. He found her to be cute. "You silly Overseer. Don't apologise. What's done is done. You've already shown me how much you've changed by your actions alone. I'm actually quite happy."

The Overseer stubbornly pouts, slowly pulling away. "I won't enter the worlds anymore. I was born to look after and watch worlds. Not to interfere."

The Entity nods. "That would be for the best."

She suddenly looks downcast. "Even if I get lonely in this world I will stick to my principals. But what will you do now, Entity?"

He smiles, leaning close towards her.

She jumps back by reflex. "You-what are you doing!?" Her face was as red as an apple.

He laughs at her expense. "I'm making you realise your own heart now."

Her own heart!?

She frowns. "I don't know what you're talking about." She crosses her arms across of her chest.

He rolls his eyes. "Oh come on. Do I need to spell it out for you?" He suddenly grabs her hand.
