You leaned on your broom gently and shut your eyes, waiting for the nausea to pass, but it didn't seem to go away as quickly as it had been.
You felt a hand on your back and jumped a bit. Gordie put his hands up, causing you to let out a small giggle. "Give a girl some warning," you said.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. You just looked a little unsteady," he said, concern etched in his tone. You tried to shake it off but felt another wave of nausea and the room began to spin.
Gordie quickly grabbed your arm and brought you to a nearby chair, kneeling down in front of you and placing his hand on your forehead. You shook him off and tried to reassure him. "I just haven't been sleeping well and it's just messing with me. I'll be fine in a second."
Gordie shook his head and pulled out his phone. "No, you need to go home. I'll have someone walk you."
"No! I'm fine, really," you tried to protest but you could hear the sound of a text being sent on his phone and slumped back in your chair.
It didn't take long for Clark to come over, offering his arm to you with a goofy smile. You sighed and stood without his help but quickly grabbed him when you realized you were about to pass out. He wrapped his free arm around your waist and you took a deep breath before glancing up at his worried face. "Are you okay? Jason will kill me if anything happens to you."
"Yeah, sorry," you whispered, letting him guide you towards the door. An uneasiness settled in the pit of your stomach and you felt like you were going to throw up for more than one reason. "Do you think we could make a stop before you take me home?"
———————————————————————
"Please God," you whispered, pacing around the bathroom and continuously checking the time on your phone. This had to be the longest five minutes of your life.
There was a knock and you froze. "Everything okay in there?" You relaxed at Clark's voice and tried to sound normal.
"Everything's fine." The phone alarm blared and you closed your eyes, picking the test up from the counter. When you opened them, your stomach dropped and the tears began flowing.
Clark jiggled the knob and he knocked again. "(Y/N), open the door." You lowered yourself down to the floor and sniffled, not wanting Clark to see you like this because then he would ask questions. However, he wasn't about to leave you alone and picked the lock, slowly pushing the door open and dropping to your side when he saw your tears. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you hurt?"
You decided it would be dumb to try and hide it so you held the test out to him and his eyes widened, looking between you and the piece of plastic. "Wait is that," he said, trailing off.
"Yeah," you whispered. "Jason's going to hate me."
Clark was quick to wrap his arms around your shoulders and squeeze you in reassurance. "Absolutely not! He could never ever hate you," he whispered. He let you cry for a little before calling Jason and telling him to come home. "I'm going to leave so you can be alone before he comes home. Don't worry."
He left and you curled up on the couch, trying to calm yourself down. Jason was home all too soon and he rushed over to your side as soon as he burst through the door, wrapping you up in his arms. "Gordie said you came home sick and then Clark said I had to come home now because you needed me. What's going on?"
You squeezed your eyes shut and clung onto him tightly. "I'm sorry," you whispered.
He pulled you away and gave a confused look. "For what?" A minute of silence passed and he looked over your body, trying to see what was wrong. His eyes landed on the pregnancy test you were still clutching and his frown deepened. "What's that?"
You glanced down and slowly pushed it into his hand, watching the confusion melt away. "Is this yours?" You nodded slightly and held your breath, waiting for his reaction.
All of a sudden he lifted you up off of the couch and spun you around with a laugh. You couldn't help but smile back at his excitement, wiping the tears from your cheeks. "Wait, you aren't mad?"
"What? Baby, how could I be mad? I mean, it's crappy timing with everything going on but I love you so much and I already love this baby," he said, placing his hands on your stomach with the widest smile ever stretching across his face.
"And you think we can do it?" Your worry was slowly disappearing and he nodded.
"Of course. And we have Becca if we need help," he said, pulling you into his arms again. "I love you so so much."
"I love you," you replied, the tears falling now being happy tears.
