"Not that I miss school or anything, but life is kind of boring at the moment," you said, walking aimlessly around the town with Helena.

She smiled and shrugged. "I don't know, it's kind of exciting, right? I mean, I miss my family but it finally feels like I'm my own person with infinite possibilities." You raised your eyebrows at her and she thought for a second before adding, "I guess not infinite possibilities, but more possibilities than before."

"You mean like playing house with Luke?" You bumped your shoulder into hers and a slight blush covered her cheeks. "Mrs. Wu would kill you if she knew!"

"She'll never find out," Helena said, her smile disappearing as a silence fell between the two of you. No one wanted to admit it, but everyone was afraid this was the new normal and you would trapped here for the rest of time.

You had been walking for so long that you had reached the West Ham football field where so many Friday nights had been spent in the past three years. It seemed weird that something so important to your tiny town was forgotten so soon and replaced with problems you never thought possible.

"I miss football games," you sighed, sitting down on the row of benches closest to the ground. A yell made your head turn to the far end of the field where a group of boys were tossing around a football. You could just make out Grizz's hair pulled back into a little bun.

Helena didn't miss your smile upon spotting him and waved to Luke who was headed her way. "Yeah right, I practically had to drag you to games with me!"

"That's before I realized how good Grizz's butt looked," you whispered as Luke vaulted over the fence, grabbing Helena into a hug. "Hey, are you guys sick of getting drunk and playing football all day?"

Luke reached over and ruffled your hair like you were a child and no amount of batting him away would make him stop. "I don't know, aren't you sick of judging us all day?"

"Play nice," Helena laughed as you rolled your eyes at Luke. "Can we come join you?"

"Of course, unless (Y/N) has a better idea of how we can spend our time?" You tried to protest but Helena tugged you along to the fence gate Luke opened for you.

"Well, look who's here," Jason said, waving his beer bottle in greeting. He winked at you and you fake-gagged, making him pout. "When are you going to realize you're absolutely in love with me?"

"In your dreams. What about Erika?" He shrugged and the other boys laughed at him. "How drunk are you?"

"Umm," he trailed off and pointed to the pile of empty bottles. "We're collectively about that drunk."

Grizz laughed and shook his head, gesturing to the almost full bottle dangling in his grip. "You three are that drunk, I'm only this drunk." You smiled at him and he returned it, holding the bottle towards you. "Want to help me with it?"

Although day drinking wasn't something you thought you would ever be doing, you took a swig and returned it to his hand. There was something intimate about drinking after someone and you tried to hide the blush forming from your cheeks to your chest.

"No wonder you judge us, you're already buzzed," Clark laughed. You were grateful that everyone thought the blush was alcohol induced and you went along with it as well, laughing with everyone else.

"Let's get back to our game," Luke said, picking up the football and chucking it at Jason who was obviously not ready, gulping down his beer. He grunted in response, earning a laugh from Grizz.

"You playing?" He was standing in direct sunlight, making you squint as you looked up at him.

If anybody else asked, you would launch into a rant of how football is the stupidest sport on the planet but you accepted his outstretched hand with a smile and a nod. "Why not?"

The boys tossed the ball back and forth for a minute, talking about the situation at hand and where exactly you were. Clark claimed the conversation made his head hurt, but as Luke pointed out, it was probably his hangover from non-stop drinking.

"You guys are boring," I said, stretching my arms towards the sky. "I'm already stretched and ready to play!"

Jason smirked and tossed the ball to me. "Okay QB, start running!" The boys came running at you and you squealed, running as fast as you could in the opposite direction. How fast could drunk boys run?

You thought you were doing great, almost making it halfway across the field until you heard pounding feet directly behind you. You tried to veer to the right but hands grabbed you around the waist and lifted you off the ground.

"No!" Grizz was laughing as Luke pulled the ball from out of your hands, handing it to Helena as she took off towards the end zone.

Grizz set you back on the ground as everyone else chased Luke and Helena, still laughing. He had a good laugh, one that never failed to make you smile, which he noticed. "You have a nice smile."

You cleared your throat and turned to watch Helena's victory, Luke putting her on his shoulder and chanting 'MVP'. "Well thank you."

"And a cute blush," he continued. You began to claim the alcohol but he smiled and cut you off with a peck on the cheek. "A sip of alcohol doesn't mean an automatic blush. Just take the compliment."

He ran off, leaving you standing alone, your jaw on the grass but the corners of your mouth still turned up into a smile. After the shock wore off, you jogged to join the celebration and everyone was smiling widely at you.

"Word travels fast," you said as Grizz squeezed your hand.

"We all knew it would happen anyway," Helena said, and the boys all nodded. "Just a matter of time. Now, how about girl's plus Grizz versus boys?"

"Why am I on the girl's team?" Grizz was frowning in confusion and you reached up to take his hair tie out.

"Beacuse you have pretty hair," you said with a laugh.
