"Are you going tonight?" You glanced over at your best friend Jason who was laying on the couch upside down with his eyes closed.

"Probably not. I really hate fugitive."

"But you really love me," he said with a goofy smile. You shrugged and he playfully swiped at you on your way past him. "It won't be fun without you. We're the dream team, remember?"

Although your hatred for the game ran deep, Jason and his friends always convinced you to play with them, and your permanent position was in the passenger seat of Jason's car.

"We are pretty good, aren't we?" He turned his hopeful eyes to you and you gave an exaggerated sigh. "Okay, I suppose I'll play."

He jumped up and pumped his fist in the air, not able to contain his excitement. He picked you up and spun you around, making you giggle and squeal to be put down immediately.

"You can't drive like a maniac though, okay? I'd like to get out of this game alive." He mocked surprise and poked his chest with his finger.

"Me drive like a maniac? I don't know what you're talking about! I'm always careful," he said, smirking. "Especially when I have precious cargo."

"Smooth," I said, laughing and rolling my eyes. "We should probably leave now or we'll be late."

"Woah, how'd you get her to come? I was sure that after last time she'd never be back," Grizz teased, hugging you when you got close to the group.

"Oh, you mean after Jason almost killed us? Yeah, I didn't think I'd be back either," you said and Jason pouted.

"It wasn't that bad guys. I just turned the corner a little too sharp."

"You were on two wheels!" Luke was laughing but at the time you were sure that you were a goner.

"Whatever," Jason mumbled, glancing up when movement caught the corner of his eye. "Hey Harry."

You froze at the name and turned slightly to see the familiar floppy brown hair and permanent smirk walking towards the group. Grizz's arm was still slung over your shoulder, and you were grateful for the stability, because without it you, probably would've swooned.

"Can I play too?" He twirled his car key around his finger and glanced between Jason and the other guys, his gaze lingering on you a little too long.

Luke shrugged and nodded. "Why not, the more the merrier. Do you know the rules?"

Harry nodded and you continued to stare at him until he turned his cocky smile towards you. You looked down at your shoes quickly, but Jason didn't miss the blush that flooded your cheeks. He frowned, looking between you and Harry but tried to brush off what had happened.

"We're just waiting for some more people to show up," Grizz explained, removing his arm from around me and walked over to his car to lean.

"Sounds good," Harry said, casually sliding up beside me. "Hi (Y/N)."

"Hey," you said, it coming out like a squeak more than anything. He laughed at that but in a way that he wasn't making fun of you. Almost like he thought it was charming.

"Are you playing?" You nodded and he gave you a surprised look. "I wouldn't peg you for a fugitive kind of girl."

"I'm full of surprises," you teased and he gave an even more shocked expression that you were flirting. "Do you have anyone riding shotgun?"

"No, I was saving that seat for you." You were shocked that he was flirting back and you grabbed a piece of hair to play with as you thought about what to say.

"What if I don't want to?"

"Then I guess I'll be pretty depressed. I've been looking forward to it all week." He was joking, but his smile was so open and you couldn't believe the guy you liked maybe liked you too.

"Well we wouldn't want that." You began walking towards his car but was stopped by Jason's voice.

"Car's this way."

You looked back to see him frowning at you, ignoring Harry who was already unlocking the doors. "I think I might ride with Harry for this one."

Jason looked dumbfounded at your statement and laughed under his breath. "You always sit with me."

You shrugged and kept walking but his hand on your elbow made you stop. "It's just fugitive Jason. I just want to try something different. It's not like we're getting married."

Jason's cheeks were flushed with anger and he looked back at Harry who was hanging awkwardly on the outskirts of the conversation. "He's not a good guy."

You opened your mouth in surprise and snatched your arm from his grasp. "What are you talking about? Who I like is none of your business."

"Yes it is (Y/N). Now get in my car. Now." He turned and began walking but glanced behind to see if you were following. "I'm not kidding."

"You aren't my dad. You can't tell me who I can and can't like. You're being ridiculous," you said, crossing your arms and turning around.

"But I like you!"

You stopped in your tracks and watched shock cross Harry's face. You slowly turned to see Jason's mouth hung open in shock as well. "What?"

"I, um, I like you. I really really like you. A lot," he whispered. You walked towards him and wrapped your arms around his neck. "I didn't mean to say that though."

"Jason, I love you too, but not like that." You could feel him deflate and pull away, his face twisted in a way that you never wanted to see, let alone be the cause of. "I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay. I get it." You shook your head and grabbed his hand so he couldn't walk away. "Just go with him. It's fine."

"Are you mad?" He shrugged and squeezed your hand lightly. "I'm sorry."

"Whatever. It's fine." He pulled away from you and got in his car. Clark smiled lightly and sat down beside him and you could see Jason reach up and swipe a tear from his cheek.

You walked over to Harry who still looked uneasy. "Okay?"

"Not really, but it's fine," you said quietly, sitting down and looking down at your lap.
