"Please come with us," Sam signed, giving you the most insane puppy eyes you have ever seen. "We're not saying it's going to be fun, but he'll have booze."

"I'm not in the mood to drink tonight," you signed back and he rolled his eyes.

Becca laughed and opened your dresser, pulling the basket of your bathing suits out. "Yeah right. Now come on. This yellow one is super cute!" She held up the ruffly suit and you groaned.

"Or this one," Sam signed before picking up a black one piece. "Very sexy."

"That adjective should never be used in the same sentence with me," you said and Sam tossed you another eye roll. "Harry probably doesn't even want me there."

It was a known fact that you and Harry didn't get along so you were never invited to these big summer parties or formal events that his parents liked to organize.

"Of course he does," Becca said but she didn't look too convinced. "Now go try these on and Sam and I will pick which one looks best," she said, shoving the suits into your hands.

After much contemplation from the both of then you ended up wearing the black suit with a pair of jean shorts to give yourself some more coverage. You weren't used to being so exposed in front of all of your classmates and you regretted coming as soon as you set foot in the yard.

"Hey guys!" You glanced over to see Grizz waving and he jogged to where you were. "(Y/N), you came! What did you guys have to do to get her here?"

"Basically kidnap her," Sam signed and Grizz gave him a sweet smile before taking your bag off your shoulder.

"Come on, you guys can hang with us." He led you over to his group of football buddies and their girlfriends who looked stunning in their bikinis. You felt all the more insecure but they all said how much they loved your suit.

"Slip your shorts off! You don't want weird tan lines," Gwen said and you blushed as you grudgingly took them off. You sat down on one of the chairs and felt yourself start to relax a little.

The guys went off to play football and took Sam with them. You giggled as you watched him struggle, Grizz tackling him to the ground and the other boys piling on top, laughing. Becca had gone to take some photos so you were all alone.

You had just been contemplating dipping your toes in the water when you heard harsh snickers coming from behind you. You turned around to find Lexie and another girl sizing you up before whispering again and bursting out into another round of giggles.

Lexie glanced up to see you facing them and feigned surprise. "Oh! Sorry, we didn't realize you were listening. We were just discussing how trashy you look in that," she said, wrinkling her nose up in disgust.

You glanced around to find the other girls had their headphones in or were too absorbed in their conversations to realize what was happening. "What?"

"Yeah, I mean you have to have a certain body type to pull off something like that and you obviously don't have it," Lexie said, smirking.

Tears pricked your eyes and you slowly gathered up your things, slipping your shorts back on and digging around for your cover up which you had obviously forgotten at home.

She laughed as you hurried away and Grizz noticed you all packed up as you ran past. "Hey!" He called but you kept a beeline for the door, your tears blurring your vision so much so that you didn't realize there was a person standing in front of you until you had already collided with them.

You mumbled an apology and tried to rush away but the person grabbed your wrist and pulled you back. You glanced up to find Harry and you started to cry harder.

"Woah, (Y/N). What happened?"

"I'm leaving. Sorry, I shouldn't be here," you whispered but he shook his head, pulling you into the privacy of his house.

"What are you talking about? Why are you so upset?" He looked genuinely concerned and you were shocked. Wasn't this the same guy that purposely ignored you and acted like you didn't exist?

"It's dumb. Please just let me go," you whispered and you watched his features soften, his grip on you still tight enough that you knew he wasn't letting go anytime soon.

"Obviously not. You're shaking," he said, gently pulling you towards the couch and sitting you down. You sniffled and watched in amazement as he wrapped an arm around you, letting his hand rest on your waist.

You scooted away uncomfortably, remembering what Lexie had said. He frowned and pulled his arm back, still waiting for you to talk. "Lexie just made a comment about my bathing suit and I forgot my coverup at home," you whispered and Harry's frown deepened.

"Well it better have been that you look amazing because you do," he said, a slight blush covering his features. Your jaw dropped and Harry stood, grabbing your hand and pulling you up with him.

"You don't have to make me feel better. You don't even like me," you said, shaking him off of you and picking your forgotten bag up off the floor. He placed a hand on your shoulder so you would face him and you were aware how hurt he looked.

"That's not true," he whispered. He cleared his voice and spoke up a little. "That's not true at all. I ignore you because I like you but I thought you would never like me back so it was easier to pretend like you weren't there. I realize now that was probably not the best thing to do, so I'm sorry."

You stood in shock and couldn't help the smile creeping onto your face. "Really?"

"Absolutely. Now come on. Let's go have some fun."

You walked hand in hand back out to the pool where Grizz, Sam, and Becca were standing around anxiously. Becca saw you first and made a move to come over but raised her eyebrows at yours and Harry's interlocked fingers.

"Hey, um, you okay?"

"I'm great! Small bump in the road but I'm feeling great now and ready to have some fun," you said and the group smiled at your sudden good attitude.
