You couldn't believe you were about to say this but you were really sick of parties. You were sick of everyone getting drunk out of their minds and destroying things and acting like animals. It wasn't going to solve anything, so why do it?

"I don't see the point," you said, gesturing to Campbell and Harry, who were chugging down beer after beer. "What is that going to prove?" Sam and Becca both laughed as the boys stumbled to grab more bottles.

"It makes them forget I guess," Sam signed. You could see his point. Getting drunk to the point where you lost all feeling, where everything was numb and you could forget about all the pain and the current mess the town was in. "Maybe you should try it?"

You laughed at his suggestion and shook your head. "Could you imagine me drunk? No thank you," you signed back, laughing.

Grizz came up behind Sam and wrapped his arms around Sam's waist, pecking him on the cheek. "What's so funny?"

"Imagining (Y/N) drunk," Becca said, still chuckling at your expense. This made Grizz completely lose it and he nodded.

"I would seriously pay to see that!" You rolled your eyes but couldn't keep the smile off your face. Becca said she was going to get some water and Grizz joined her, leaving you and Sam to watch the disaster in front of you.

All of a sudden, Campbell set his sights on Sam and you felt your body grow cold. Campbell was not kind to Sam, and being drunk only elevated his awful personality.

"Hey baby brother," he slurred, getting close to Sam's face. Sam squinted, obviously trying to read Campbell's lips but finding it impossible because of the alcohol. Campbell wasn't signing, so you decided to step in and distract him so Sam could get away.

"What do you want Campbell?" Sam was taking the opportunity to slip away, but Campbell put his arm against the wall blocking Sam's only escape.

"Just trying to talk to my brother. What are you, his bodyguard?"

"No, but I am," Grizz said through clenched teeth, coming up behind Campbell. He pulled Campbell's shoulder but he wasn't going to budge. Sam looked desperate to get away and he was obviously scared, not being able to tell what Campbell, or anyone for that matter, was saying.

Campbell scoffed and glared at Grizz. "Oh yeah, I forgot this piece of trash actually found someone to be with him. You are obviously using him for sex because he's pretty worthless for anything else, right?"

Grizz's face was completely red now and without any warning, he raised his fist and sent a blow to Campbell's nose, blood traveling down his face in a steady stream. He fell to the floor and Sam took this time to get away and run to Becca at the opposite end of the room.

Campbell got up, holding his nose and glaring at Grizz. "You made a mistake," he hissed. The party was now completely silent, everyone watching what was happening between Grizz and Campbell. You stayed where you were, afraid to move.

Campbell lunged at Grizz, knocking him down and holding him on the ground as he sent multiple blows to his face and chest. You immediately grabbed Campbell's hands, trying to get him to stop and Harry was at your side, helping you.

Cambell yanked his arm from your grasp and you fell backwards with the force. You tried to catch yourself on a nearby couch but you weren't quick enough, falling sideways and smashing your head on a coffee table.

"(Y/N)!" Campbell immediately stopped at the sound of Harry's desperate cry and all three boys were at your side in seconds. Harry helped you sit up and Campbell took his flannel off, pressing it to a cut that was bleeding above your eyebrow.

"Get away from her, Campbell," Grizz growled, trying to push Campbell away from you. "You caused this."

"Then let me fix it," he whispered. Any malice on his face from before had disappeared, and tears were falling down his cheeks. You had never seen him cry, never seen him sad or show emotion of any kind, really.

You glanced to Grizz and shook your head, pointing to Sam who was hovering nearby with Becca. "It's fine. Go with Sam and just explain to him what happened. Everything was too fast for him to keep up with and he's scared." Grizz nodded hesitantly and stood up, grabbing Sam and Becca and pulling them out of the room.

"Are you okay?" Harry was kneeling at your side with worry etched across his features. You nodded and he grabbed your hand. "What's my name, what year is it, where are we?"

You smiled at his concern. "Your name is Harry, it's 2019, and we're in New Ham."

He nodded, satisfied that you probably didn't have a concussion and glanced up at the crowd of people who had been standing and staring for the past ten minutes. He stood and waved his hands at them. "Party's over. Nothing to see here. Go home," he said, ushering people out the door and leaving you alone with Campbell.

His shirt was still pressed to your forehead and he was avoiding eye contact with you. You reached up and pulled his hand off, taking the bloody shirt from his grip and replacing it with your hands. "Are you okay?"

He looked surprised at your question and brushed a thumb over the small wound. "I should be asking you that," he whispered. You shook your head at him and pulled his hand down again.

"I'm fine. But you don't look fine."

He shook his head and sat back on his heels, tears continuing to fall from his eyes. "Why am I like this?"

You frowned and wiped a tear from his cheek. "Like what?"

"I hurt everyone I love. I'm so mean to Sam and I don't know why because I regret everything I do immediately after it's over," he said. You shrugged and pulled yourself closer to him. "And then, I've liked you for years and now you probably hate me because I shoved you into a coffee table and hurt you."

Your jaw dropped when he muttered this last part under his breath and he immediately regretted even saying it out loud. "Wait, you like me?"

"Yeah but it doesn't matter now because everyone thinks I'm a psycho and no one likes me," he said, sadness dripping from his voice.

You placed a hand on his forearm but he shook you off. "That isn't true. It's just that sometimes you aren't the nicest guy in the world to a lot of people. But you can change that," you said, putting your hand on his arm again. This time he left it there and glanced up at you.

"You think so?"

"Of course. And you can start with me. Hi, my name is (Y/N), what's yours?"

He chuckled a little and your hand a squeeze. "I'm Campbell. What happened to your head?"

"Oh, you know. I ran into a coffee table. Normal stuff." This made him burst out laughing and you smiled.

"Now what?" I watched Sam and Grizz hovering in the doorway and I pointed towards them. Campbell turned and the sadness returned in his eyes.

"I think that's a good next step. Don't worry, I'll go with you. We'll do this together."

(a/n) - I wanted to write something where campbell showed a little remorse and didn't seem like such a villain because i thought it would be refreshing from the usual story line. I hope you are enjoying these chapters!
