Where is Harry?
He sure is taking a long time in the restroom. A couple of minutes ago I noticed a disturbed-looking guy walk in the direction Harry went in but paid no mind.
He must've been having a bad day.
I clean up our area and collect mine and Harry's belongings patiently waiting for him to return.
I look around the small breakfast diner to see that besides Harry and I there's only one other table with people dining now. Sitting back down I pull out my phone and play Sudoku to pass the time. He must've eaten something his stomach doesn't agree with.
Moments later I see a few police cars pull up into the driveway and I know that something must be wrong - the cars' blinking lights are on.
Where's Harry?
With a quick glance around, I take in the actuality that there's next to no one else in the restaurant. And the employees are all talking discretely among one another yet eerily calm.
I get up from the table and make my way to the restroom concerned. My feet are as slow as ever when compared to the flurry of horrible thoughts that invade my head.I hear a shout from an older guy - one of the workers, I think - from behind me, but I continue anyway.
Why is he yelling at me?
I knock on the restroom door lightly, not understanding why, and call out to Harry before completely opening it.
"Parker, don't come in here," I hear him yell, before panic takes over.
"What's going on, Harry?" I ask, opening the door and then a shot goes off.
Faster than I've ever moved before, I spin away from the door tripping over my own two feet.
A gun? What's going on?
I don't hear anything on the other side after the shot - probably due to the loud ringing in my ears - and begin to cry.
Harry!
I force my mind to block out the thoughts of the worse happening when I see three to four officers run inside. I don't know how or when it happened, but all of my belongings are scattered on the floor, causing the officers to have to jump over everything.
They were just in my hands.
My tears are full force by now as I sit on the outside of the restroom trying to figure out what's going on.
I can't feel my legs.
I can't feel my hands.
I can't feel anything.
Moments later a man, the same man who followed Harry inside, comes out beaten up and in handcuffs. His dark hair is sticking up everywhere and with the blood dripping from his eye he looks deranged.
He did it.
My blood boils at the sight of him and I am shocked by my strength in the moment.
Lunging after him, I beat on his back, ignoring the threats of the officers detaining him. I get in a couple of good hits before he hurls me off of his back slamming me on the floor.
I cry out in pain as soon as my back hits the floor, but I don't care. I stand back up on my feet, noticing that he's now further away as one of the police officers continues to escort him out.
Then in one swoop another one of the officers has me by my waist trying to calm me from swinging about uncontrollably.
"He killed Harry!" I yell crying uncontrollably. My vision is blurred and I can't see a thing past my own two hands. I feel the officer tighten his grip on me until I feel like I can't breathe.
"Parker?" The familiar British accent rings.
"Calm down, son, before I have to arrest you too," the officer threatens, but I could care less as to what he has to say. As of right now, he's the asshole that's keeping me away from doing what I think is right.
I open my eyes to find a blood-stained Harry at the door of the restroom. His eyes are wide as he takes in the situation. He looks like he's seen a ghost.
His lip is split open and I can already see the bruising around his midsection thanks to his now torn shirt. His eyes start to water as soon as they return back to me.
Immediately, I jump down from the officer's arms running to the only one that matters right now.
"Blue," Harry sighs into my neck crying.
"I thought I lost you forever," he cries, caressing my head with his hand.
