"Parker, what the hell are you doing?" I hear Harry's loud voice boom from behind me. I jump slightly startled as I didn't expect him to be here so soon nor did I expect him to yell at me for. . . whatever it is I'm doing.
I didn't even hear the sound of his loud truck pulling up.
"Whoa, man. Chill. We are just catching up with him. No need to get all worked up. See? Harmless," Zayn interferes now paying attention as he pulls me under his arm for a side hug that causes Harry's fist to clench.
Did anyone else notice that?
He looks absolutely furious as he slams the door to his truck shaking the window and marching over to us in his grey sweats.
In one swift pull, I go from being in Zayn's embrace to Harry's and quite literally feel like a rag doll in the process. Amy's eyes are focused on Harry's arm around me before she looks at me emotionless. A look of jealousy graces her face before it's quickly replaced with annoyance. She doesn't say anything as she blows out a breath of air, unlocking her phone.
In the same aggressive way he used to pull me towards him, Harry pulls me by my upper arm away from the two forcing me to stumble as I try to keep up.
"Would you let go of me?" I whisper yell, rubbing the part of my arm his hand was just wrapped around. His eyes soften slightly as he looks at the spot, but he doesn't speak on it.
"I thought I told you I didn't want want you hanging around them anymore," he seethes looking down at me with his back turned away from Zayn and Amy.
"And I thought I told you I will not be bossed around by you or anyone else for that matter."
"You don't have a choice in this. They are my friends," he claims and my blood boils.
"Just because they're you're friends doesn't mean that they can't be mine!"
He laughs maniacally at this. His expression is dark and twisted; it leaves me feeling unsettled. He runs a hand through his short hair before speaking again.
"You think they are here to be friends with you, Parker? That's brilliant! Tell me how that goes!"
"They could care less about you," he spits at me his eyes malicious.
I feel as if I've been punched in the gut.
Why would he say that? I mean Amy I understood clearly, but Zayn and the others?
"Now get in the car and we can talk about this when we get home."
"No, Harry. You don't know shit about how they feel about me. Why are you so against me hanging out with them?" I say a little louder than I expect to and from the quick chatter behind us I can tell that the two onlookers heard my words.
Before he has time to speak, I walk back over to the front of the diner stopping in front of Zayn. I can literally feel his glare and fuming body behind me as I make my way over, but I don't care. He has to learn that I am my own person. I hold my hand out in the same manner Jax demanded when he wanted my number. Without saying a word he pulls out his phone, unlocks it, and hands it over.
I quickly put in my information despite Harry's attempts for me to just get in the car and then hand it back over to him.
He grabs the phone from my hand chuckling and muttering a small 'good luck' before I make my way over to the passenger side of Harry's truck.
