Leaving our incredible friends behind was probably the worst part of the foreign vacation. It was so sad to leave the country after Harry and I had grown so used to how kind and welcoming the people are. We also grew used to the constant sunlight, so when we arrived in Philadelphia at 9pm we were not tired in the least bit.

Harry got a call a few days before we left for America from the property owner who owns his apartment. The entire vicinity had to be evacuated and has to be fumigated to deal with the flood of termites that invaded the block. Thankfully, the fumigation is near complete and he should be able to move back into his flat in the next two to three days.

When I first heard the news, of course, I welcomed Harry with open arms. He is my. . . significant other?

Gosh, that sounds weird.

But then it dawned on me, the last time Harry and Alex were in the same place I ended up homeless and Harry ended up covered in bruises.

Alex just seriously hates him for no reason. I don't understand it.

I don't know how the two will act when they see each other. I've talked to Harold about it and he promised that he'd be cool about it. However, we both know that some things are easier said than done.

I didn't feel homesick throughout the entire trip, but as we drive down the road leading to my house I can't help but feel depressed at my hiatus away from home.

It's been too long.

I've been messaging Kate nonstop as soon as I notified her of our return. She was so ecstatic! Planning out activities and events for days to make up for the time.

My house looks uninhabited once we pull into the empty parking lot. I know that both Kate and Alex are here, so there cars must be parked in the garage.

Once Harry turns off his large truck we just sit, unmoving. Time to get back to reality. I breathe out nervously before opening my mouth to talk.

"Best behavior," I warn, causing him to roll his eyes.

"Please."

He doesn't respond. Just smiles and kisses me on the cheek sweetly. He's cooperating. Good.

When we get to the porch I have to knock on the door and it feels weird not having the key to my own house. I immediately hear shuffling on the other side and I can feel Harry tense slightly beside me. I take his hand in mine, standing on my toes slightly to kiss his cheek.

"Parker!" Kate's voice is loud and shrill as she welcomes me. She looks so different with her hair down.

"Kate, you're such a site for sore eyes," I breathe, hugging her tightly.

"Something smells divine. Is that couscous?"

Nodding quickly she smiles at me and squeals making me laugh.

I walk in after succumbing to another one of her bone crushing hugs and notice a few changes, but nothing too drastic. Improvements, actually.

"Harry!" she exclaims from behind me and I turn to look at him awkwardly accept the hug before smiling.

He mouths 'help me' with his lips, but I know he's actually very happy with her response. He's just too cool to admit it.

I appreciate her for making him feel welcomed.

When I turn back around I skim the living room and the kitchen noticing that Alex is no where to be found.

"He's in his room," Kate starts looking at me apologetically.
