I feel him tense below me dramatically. He doesn't say anything as his eyes pour into mine searching them. It feels like a millennium before he responds.
"And?" he questions voice tight. His reaction startles me slightly. It only surfaces a flood of unanswered questions that now haunt my mind.
"They were nice," I begin ignoring his gaze. I pick up one of the flowers beside his head focusing on it as I speak.
"Jax was very welcoming," I continue growing slightly excited at having a piece of information that only I knew about for once - well, with the exception of the other player.
"Funny thing. I had actually known him prior to seeing him today."
"Today? You met the rest of them today?" he rushes out lying completely still, underneath me as he tries to make sense of what's going on.
"You remember Jax at the party?"
"No, I-,"
Not giving me a chance to answer his question completely he fires another one.
"How do you know Jax?" His eyes are moving around viciously as they search my face for any emotion.
"I don't remember him at the party. We actually bumped into each other on our way to lecture," I start remembering the day vividly.
"He was very kind then and today introducing me to everyone. I like him a lot."
My declaration for the boy causes him to cringe, but he seems to calm a bit down, though still guarded, as he continues his question assault.
"And the others? Were they amicable?"
"All except one girl," I continue trying to read the display of emotions that grace his beautiful face. I'm pretty sure that my face is contorted into some nasty look as I picture the girl glaring at me continuously, but I don't care. She's incredibly rude!
I hear him mutter 'Amy' to himself, but act as if I didn't.
"Anything else?" he continues eyes hopeful.
"No," I lie.
"We just watched a couple of guys fight and then I went home. That's all."
I don't know why I lie but I do. His body visibly and literally relaxes from under me. He reaches up kissing me before lying his head back down on the ground content.
It just doesn't feel like the right time to confront him about the information Jax relayed to me. I'm sure a more appropriate time will come. For now, I just want to be with him.
"I don't want you to leave me again," I breathe lowering myself down to kiss him hard.
"I don't want to leave you again," he moans against my mouth with an equal force. His hands find their way into my hair, tugging lightly. I miss his. . . his everything. He deepens the kiss, gripping my hips with his rough hands in the process. He lifts his up to meet me and I swear it's the best thing in the world.
"I don't want you going around them again," he breathes once I pull away from the kiss.
I furrow my brows at this.
"Why?"
"Because I said so," he speaks lowly bucking up at me as he reaches up to kiss me again.
I shy away from his kiss confused creating space between our chests. I am my own person!
"I can see whoever I want to," I begin.
I start to get up from his body until I feel his rough hands latch onto my waist forcing me down on top of him.
"Don't disobey me, blue,"
"You'll regret it," he mutters darkly before sucking harshly on my neck surely leaving a mark.
My adoration for him is slowly dissipating with his every action. I break myself from his assault on my neck no matter how amazing it feels, and place my hands down on his chest pinning him down with minimal effort. His eyes grow wide at this before turning into a look of irritation.
"What the fuck, Park!" he shouts pushing himself off of the ground, causing me to stumble backwards as a result.
"Why are you being so difficult?" His mood has changed drastically, but I'm unfazed by it. Just another part of dealing with him.
Readjusting my position to be right in front of his body, I take a deep breath calming myself down. His temper is so short.
"Because I am my own person, Harry,"
"Not you or Alex or Jax or anyone else can control who I can and can't see!" I shout my voice in complete contrast to the serene night. His face looks angered before smoothing out into a look of sympathy. He opens and closes his mouth several times before finding the words to respond.
"I'm sorry, baby," he begins.
"I guess I never really thought about the number of people in your life that would take advantage of your kind nature," he continues slightly incorrect. I don't correct him. No one's taking advatange of me. I haven't really fallen through with any of their warnings.
"You're right. You shouldn't have to yield to anyone's commands," he speaks looking deep in thought.
"Except mine."
His eyes are humorous, but also carry a very different emotion within them. I can't tell if he's joking or being serious in his claim. His voice does not parallel to his eyes. The entire situation is extremely complexing.
It falls silent between us for a while. The quiet scene is interrupted by the whistling of the wind around us. If I were here alone, it'd be quite creepy to be honest. But I'm not. I'm with a man I thought I knew everything about, but as time and history has proven there's just too many things left unsaid between us. Things we choose to ignore.
Ugh!
We are just staring into each other's eyes trying to read one another's emotions, me coming to no avail. I wonder if he's having as much trouble as I am.
My head is pounding.
"I want to know about your relationship with Amy, please."
