Steve got up from his bed after letting pools of water leak from his eyes. He couldn't let Natasha get away, not this easy, not to him. He had worked so hard to get her, to keep her. He couldn't lose her. Not now.

He ran out of his room and didn't bother checking Natasha's room because he knew she wouldn't be there. She'd already be gone. She'd already left. Clint and Tony tried to stop him and ask him what was wrong but he pushed past them. He couldn't afford distractions, not when he had to find her. Steve ran to the street, where they told each other their feelings to one another, in hopes of finding her. Natasha spotted him and tried to duck out of view, but he had seen her. Nothing could block the view of her from him.

  Nothing.

He grabbed hold of her shoulders and pushed her against the wall liked he had right before they went on the run together. Natasha had been crying and he knew that she hadn't wanted to leave him. She just believed it was the right thing to do. "Why?! Why leave now?" Steve yelled at Natasha but it's not because he was angry. It's because he was hurt. After all they'd been through together and it was now that she chose to run away. Just when things were going well. When things were fine.

"Because I love you. I love you Steve and I'm scared I'll mess up. I can't hurt you. I-I can't hurt you. I love you," Natasha started to cry again. In all his years with working with her, he had never seen Natasha Romanoff cry. He was still hurt but he embraced her. He wanted her hurt to go away and he wanted her to be happy again. She hung her arms over his shoulders and lay her head on his chest, sobbing into his t-shirt. "It's okay. It's okay Nat," Steve whispered comforting words into her ear and wished he could show her how much she meant to him. That she couldn't lose him. That she never would.

It was then that he remembered. That one action that could prove to anyone that you still love them, that you still care. He dipped his head low and lifted up her chin. As she stared at him through teary eyes he pulled her forward into a deep kiss. Moments later when they separated, Steve spoke again. "Don't you ever do that to me again. Understood?!" Natasha shook her head weakly and apologised. She never meant to hurt Steve, she just wanted to help him. To get rid of all evil from his life. And that included her. That's what she said anyway. "Don't do that, don't put yourself down. You are gorgeous. You are the most beautiful and dangerous woman I have ever met. You would never hurt those you love. Never. And I know that. That's why I can't let you leave." A single tear made a cold river down his face as he spoke and he could tell that Natasha understood. She always would.

He grabbed her hand and she held on tight as they made their way back to the Avengers tower. They both had some explaining to do. And they had to make sure it was good.

This is because aGiuliaSantos and Threo_Ringo both asked for a second part. And I'm glad they did. Hope you all enjoyed it. Love you all 3000 x

Ps, I am willing to do part 3 as I adored writing this. It could be them explaining or whatever. But it's up to you lot. Comment if you want a part 3. Or risk not having one..
