• Hi everyone. I hope you're all well.

Forged.
I breathe in slowly, trying to calm my mind and make sense of Captain Chiasa's words. But the shock hits me deep like a wild current that's taken over my body, rendering me incapable of moving or speaking.
Someone set me up.
It's all I can think of as I thumb through the pages of the report that sealed my fate, sabotaged my future, and stole my birthright.
"Minako." Captain Chiasa calls out to me and her deep sonorous voice breaks me out of my head.
"Can you hear me?" She says and all I could do is stare at the worn-out black septogram tattoo on her wrist as she waves her hand on my face. I'm too shocked to think, too overwhelmed to speak.
Her thick dark brows furrow seeming to be worried while her thin red lips curl down forming a weary frown on her weathered face.
"Yes." I shake my head and slip my white strap sandals off, wriggling my toes on the soft pelt of the faux rug, willing myself to be present at the moment and stop myself from zoning out.
Beside me, I see Karui, whose wide golden eyes peer into mine. A perturbed expression graces Karui's gentle face as she takes her porcelain teapot and carefully pours warm oolong tea into four teacups. From Captain Chiasa's side, Omoi crouches down on his seat and reaches out for his cup.
"Who? Why?" I manage to utter despite the fact that my thoughts are disjointed and mangled.
"I don't know." Captain Chiasa sighs and shakes her head as she purses her lips. "It can be someone from KISU or someone who has ties to KISU who could have pulled it off."
"And as to why, there are many factors come into play here. I am sure you're aware of that." She adds. "You're not just an agent, after all, you were also the Raikage's heir at the time. And your father has many enemies."
