I would have run away by now after Sasuke found me out. But the healer told me that I've been poisoned by venom when he examined my wound and saw it blacken. Apparently, that blonde nutjob I fought with laced his kunai with venom. Just my luck.

On a positive note, Grandma Ai is healing nicely. She's safely tucked away in her bed resting; while I am standing here with Noa and the healer inside the apothecary as Noa fiddles with the glass bottles on the shelves of Grandma Ai's oak cabinet.

"It's this one, I think." She tells the healer who grasps his face in frustration and pulls on his white robes.

"You think?" The dark-haired healer tilts his head and sarcastically asks Noa.

Noa raises her shoulders, going back and forth opening bottles and sniffing vials. She lets out an exasperated sigh.

"Well, I'm not exactly the one running the apothecary now, am I?" She grumbles defensively, pulling at her hair. "Here."

She slides a small brown bottle on the counter and the healer picks it up and opens the lid.

"Wait." She stops and bites her nails. "I don't think that's the venom antidote. I think that's an ointment for preventing scars."

"Noa!" The elderly man barks at Noa, exasperation evident from the pointed tone of his voice.

"Well, you'll need this too, won't you?" Noa turns to me and asks. She's clearly flustered. Despite all her talk about mysticism and protecting the village from things that go bump in the night, it's clear she hasn't been exposed to high-pressure situations that call for a level head and quick decision making.
