I finished after an hour. Sasuke refused to help me with anything else. The next step is hanging my clothes on a clothesline and waiting for them to dry -- which according to Sasuke takes about two to four hours.

I think I did well. As annoying as Sasuke was, he helped me wash my clothes and he's accompanying me to hang them now. Even if he didn't offer to carry my clean clothes for me, I am grateful. Besides, it's not like I can expect that kind of thing from a man like Sasuke. He's the furthest thing to a gentleman.

"Thank you for helping me out," I tell Sasuke as I place clothespins on the white shirt I'm hanging on the clothesline. A warm breeze wafts through the area and makes my clothes billow in the wind. The sun sets from a distance, lending a yellowish tinge to the ambiance around us.

"I did it to improve the threshold," Sasuke explains.

What he did was only logical. We should try our best to get along because fighting would only hinder us. If we get along well enough then we can go farther distances from each other without feeling pain or dying.

I continue to hang my clothes and notice Sasuke looking up at the sunset sky and the yellow clouds hanging above us. His face seems bothered yet again and it makes me wonder if he's thinking about the letters he got.

"Did you get terrible news back home?" I ask him.

"What?" He shrugs his shoulders.

"You looked weird when you were reading the letters that Captain Yamato gave you," I explain as I get another clothespin from the basin to secure my leggings.

"Weird?"

"Distressed. The more you kept on reading, the deeper you frowned."

"Just keep hanging your clothes, Minako." Sasuke tries to dismiss my observation and says nothing more.

"You know I'm starting to understand your subtle face reactions." I turn to him and joke. He squints his eyes at me seeming confused. "I just might be able to make a detailed chart for every mood by the time we break the enchantment."
