Chapter 21

I woke up the next morning to birds chirping. It was so peaceful. I ran to the bathroom and got ready. I dressed in a green bikini, a yellow sundress, and my trusty white flip-flops. I walked into the small kitchen and saw a note from my mom.

The beach is now officially open. Carol and I went shopping, so have fun.

Love, Mom

Yes, the beach was finally open. I ran into Alex's room.

"Get up! The beach is open." I yelled. Elliot walked in while rubbing his eyes.

"What's with the noise?" he asked.

"We are going to the beach, so get dressed." I smiled at him.

He walked out of the room, and Alex finally woke up. I made some cereal, and I was eating it when the boys walked out.

"'Bout time." I muttered.

"So where to now?" Alex asked.

"The beach, duh." I rolled my eyes at him. I grabbed my towel and ran out the door. The boys followed close behind me, but I was faster, and I closed the elevator on them. I smirked as the doors closed. The doors quickly opened.

"What the hell?" I asked as I saw the boys smirking back at me.

"I pushed the button." Alex laughed. Dammit, that would have been an awesome joke if I had gotten away with it.

We made our way to the beach, and I loved the feeling of the warm sand under my toes. I spread my towel out, and put sunscreen on. Yet again when I got to my back, I needed help. I looked at Elliot. He came over and rubbed the lotion into my back. He kissed my shoulder and stood up. My shoulder was tingling from the warmth of his lips. I looked at Alex.

"Are you sure you don't want any?" I asked while holding up the bottle of sunscreen.

"Nah, I don't need it. I tan." He said as he stretched out like a cat. I laughed.

"Have you taken a look in the mirror lately? You're redder than the lobster I ate the other night." I spoke. He shot me a death glare, and I backed down. "How 'bout we go into the water?"

I raced the boys into the water, but Elliot scooped me up in his arms.

"You better no-" I felt the water rush down my throat. I came up slightly choking. "You will pay Elliot Walsh!" I yelled at him while he laughed at me.

"Come at me bro." he teased. I swam towards him.

I got up right in his face. I was about to kiss him, when I pushed him in the water.

"Win!" I yelled as he came up for air.

"I'll get you." He warned.

"You can't catch me." I yelled as I swam away. Alex was watching us with an amused look on his face.

The day went on, and he never did catch me. I stood in the shower and thought of my vacation so far. It had been amazing. I got in my pajamas and Elliot hopped in the shower. I wanted to talk to him about something that had just popped into my mind. He came out of the shower in basketball shorts. His wet, dark hair was plastered to his head.

"Everything ok?" he asked as he shook his head like a dog.

"I don't want to intrude or anything, but where does Joe think you are?" I asked while not looking at him. He sat down beside me and sighed.

"I knew you would ask sooner or later." He said as he pulled my chin towards him. "We left him a note saying that we went on vacation, and we wouldn't be back until after break."

"Did you tell him where?" I didn't want him coming to find us.

"Yeah, but he thinks we went to Colorado." He laughed, and I joined him. "You don't have to worry, ok?" I nodded, and he wrapped his arms around me.

"I caught you." He whispered into my hair, and I smiled. I fell asleep in his bed, yet again.
