Chapter 29
I woke up gasping for breath. I felt my heartbeat racing, and I was sweating. Elliot came over to my bed.
"What's wrong?" he asked frantically. I didn't respond; I was in shock.
I had my hand on my chest, trying to control my breathing. Elliot sat next to me. He wrapped his arms around me. I snaked my arms around his neck, and I buried my head into his chest. He wouldn't allow anything to happen to me.
"It's ok." He said while rubbing my back. "It was just a dream."
I then just realized that he was only wearing shorts. My head was pressed against his naked chest. It felt perfect, but I knew that this wasn't going to last forever.
I slowly pulled away from him, so I could look him in the eyes.
"Thank you." I gave him a kiss on the cheek. He still had his arms wrapped around me.
"What happened?" he asked.
"Bad dream. I'm fine now, thanks." I said.
"You sure." He asked with worry on his face.
"Yeah, go back to bed, you need your sleep." I told him. He hesitated, but then he removed his arms from me. I was reluctant to let him leave me. I eventually drifted back into dreamland.
