You scanned the quiet yard and concluded you were the first kid at school. Again. You were usually the first kid due to the fact of you having to drop your sister off. Also because the doors didn't open for another 30 minutes and nobody wanted to wait outside when they could be sleeping in their comfy sheets. However, you didn't hate the fact that you were first.
No, you actually loved it.
It was the one time within school hours when everything was quiet. You moseyed on over to the biggest tree in the yard. It has beautiful bright green leaves and a large thick trunk. You made sure your backpack was secure over your shoulders and resting firmly on your hip. You stopped a couple of steps and took a deep breath, closing your eyes. When you exhaled you opened and ran straight towards the tree. You placed one foot on the oak brown wood and pushed up, reaching the closest branch. Since you did this so often, you grabbed it with ease and held on. You pulled yourself up, dragging the rest of your body over. You sighed and leaned against it, looking down. It was kind of hard to see through the large head of leaves but, you grew used to it and watched easily. You had one leg propped up and other dangling over the edge like your earbud. It was nice...
"Oh my god did you hear about what happened with Stela," a voice exclaimed as a pair of girls went through the gates.
"Well, there goes that," you mumbled as you rolled your eyes and sighed. You were always in on the gossip, it wasn't because you wanted to know. It was because of the fact that it was all the girls ever talked about. And being the loner you were, they didn't care what you heard. So, you listened, it was always best to know what was going on around you.
"No, what," the girl in the booty shorts asked as they took a seat on the bench.
"I heard from Beth, who heard from Maddy, who heard from Robin," the girl in the green crop top answered, "that Stela slept with Brad over the weekend." Oh my god, scandalous, you playfully thought as you rolled your eyes again, yeah right.
"Really," booty shorts gasped covering her mouth with her manicured hands.
"Yes," green crop top replied leaning a bit down with her hands up. You sighed and shook your head, tuning them out. You never understood how girls enjoyed spreading other people's business like a cold in elementary school. You noticed that some of the buses were pulling up and dropping off other students. Soon there were kids everywhere. Some stayed by the gate while others went deeper and sat on the grass, walls, or benches.
"Looks like the freak is still here," one of the boys groused to his friends. As they passed your tree, eyeing you with disgust. You pretended like you didn't notice their stares and continued to look out through the leaves. Adam and his little crew always did this.
"Yeah what a loser," his friend smirked. You quietly growled and clenched your fists inside your pockets, acting like you didn't hear their insults. Calm down [Y/N]. You know you can't get into fights. You know you can't cause any problems. Just calm down, you lectured yourself in your head. You took a deep breath and tried to finding something else to focus on. Your eyes scanned the yard until they stopped on a small group that entered the yard. They seemed to catch everyone's attention which, made sense. They were new and different.
It was a group of monsters.
One of them was a tall skeleton, wearing a red and white top with blue shorts and gold trim. He had bright red boots and gloves as well, plus a matching backpack. The tall skeleton was chatting with another skeleton except, shorter. He wore a sky blue sweater with a black-furred jacket on top. His shorts were black with a yellow stripe on the side just like to his backpack. You couldn't help but smile when you saw this sky blue socks and fuzzy black slippers. The skeletons company also had a tall blue fish lady, who had a red shirt and a brown pilot jacket. She also had long blue jeans and red sneakers. However, her biggest eye-catcher was her black eye patch over her left eye. It seemed to be the same fabric as her blue bag. Beside the blue fish lady was the smallest in the group. She was a yellow lizard with an orange sweater and a long white coat, that brushed the ends of her dark brown shorts. She wore black flats and had an anime backpack, with a human cat thing. You studied them as they went to the base of your tree, seeming to have not seen you.
"All of these punks are staring at us," fish lady complained as she stood in the shade. Shivering at all of the cold stare and quiet whispers.
"Re- Relax Undyne," the smallest stuttered as she peered up to the fish lady. So, she is Undyne, you gathered. "They ar- are just not us- use to us yet." She seemed to be extremely anxious and shy.
"Still doesn't give them the right to stare," Undyne grumbled as she crossed her arms.
"RELAX UNDYNE! THE HUMANS MUST BE STARING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BASK IN THE GREATNESS OF THE GREAT PAPYRUS," the tall skeleton beamed, posing. Your smile grew, He is Papyrus.
"huh yeah, bro," the short skeleton smiled lazily. Ah, their brothers. Makes sense, you thought.
"OF COURSE I'M RIGHT BROTHER! I'M AL-"
"Hey, can you shut up," Adam gibed, cutting Papyrus off, "I can't even think right now." You felt something snap inside of you as he glared at him, coldly. You may not know this skeleton but, he reminded you of your sister. Loud, playful, kind, and innocent. And no one was going to talk to her or him like that, not on your watch. In the distance, you could see that the principal opening the doors to the school. You smirked as you pulled up your hood.
Time to do something stupid...
Sans Pov
Who does this human think he is? My eyelights turned off as I opened my mouth about to snap at this kid. When a dark chuckle appeared above me, I snapped to the laugh to find someone seating on the tree. When did they get there, I wonder as I stared at them. They wore a [f/c] hoodie with the hood up covering their face, sending it into pure darkness to the viewer. Plus they wore black ripped jeans and black sneakers. A [f/c] worn out satchel was dangling on their side, along with one of their legs as the other was propped up.
"That is hilarious," the person said as they jumped off of their perch. I growled lowly and glared at the figure. They were mocking us, just like this boy in front of us. It looks like someone is going to have a b- "I never knew you could think Adam," the figured sassed halting my thoughts.
"Wait what," I mumbled under my breath as my anger began to simmer down. A human is defending us, I never thought I would see the day.
"Shut the fuck up freak," the boy, Adam fumed as he pointed a finger towards them in a threatening manner.
"Why don't you do something about it baby wings," they dared crossing their arms. Adam bared his teeth in anger. You never call a grown bird, baby wings, that is unless you had a death wish.
"Your dead freak," he growled as he stepped forward.
"Toodles," the figured teased as they waved quickly and turned around. Dashing towards the large school building.
"GET BACK HERE BITCH," he roared as he and his lackey's chased them. Everyone in the yard watched as the figure ran. As they began to near the building and the figure pushed the principal out of the way, slamming onto the floor. The [f/c] person disappeared into the large building as the boys trailed behind. The principal quickly got up and joined the train yelling at them. The yard was silent, everyone was still trying to piece together what happened.
Who the fuck was that?
