The rest of the day went by like a blur as well as the next couple of days. You simply went through the motions, acting like everything was okay. When in reality, you were silently dying inside. So silent, that you didn't even hear your own cries.

Work was a drag like always. Your coworkers would avoid you at times or act like you didn't exist. However, one of them was chill enough to say hi everyday. Your pay was practically nothing which, always made you have to do overtime. And the costumers would forever be the worst! Whether it be your job at the cafe, library, or park. They consistently had something rude to say. Or a straight-up lie in attempts to get something free. Bitches.

Home was a hellhole. You had to do all the housework. Cooking, cleaning, mowing the lawn, raking the leaves, laundry, etc. It was never-ending chores. And at night, you got dragged into the basement. To be beaten by your father until you passed out. Waking up in your blood to clean up and pretend like it never happened. Or you would toss and turn at night from your constant nightmares. Of your father beating you and explaining that it's your fault for your mother's death. The anger and guilt overflowing in you, making you beat your punching bag until your knuckles bled.

School went by like usual. Being school freak was always 'fun'. Being shoved into lockers. Having food or water dumped onto you. Being insulted, teased, or bullied. It was great. Not to mention, that the year performance was coming closer day by day. However, school became a bit more bearable because of your 'friends'. Every morning you guys would hang out at your tree. And in classes, you guys would chat and partner up if needed. Also, you and sans still worked on your project at lunch on the rooftop. Now, this was actually great unlike your sarcastic one from before. Although, everything looked a bit better there. You were still silently waiting for the day they leave you. Even though you couldn't bear the thought of it.

Right now, you were at your job in the library. Walking through the rows of books, putting the returned books back into place. This was one of your favorite things about this job, each one more unique than the last. In some ways it reminded you of the wings other people have. Some would be small while others would be large. A few would be tight and compact while others would be loose and airy. Colorful or dull. Plain or designed. New or old. Some would make noise when you open them while, others were silent. However, the biggest similarity was that they each told their own story. You ran your hand across the binds of the books as you walked past. Pushing your book cart skillfully with one hand. The only noises being the silent whispers of readers and your nails over the books. This is nic-

"Hey Tom look at this nerd," a voice insulted loudly. Well, they were the only noises. You groaned silently as you released your cart. Leaving to search for the asshole who not only ruined your quiet but, also to teach them some words like friendship and kindness. You know, the basic shit in My Little Pony.

"Yeah what a fucking dork," another voice commented. That must be Tom, you thought as you peeked down an aisle. Empty.

"Look at her," the unknown voice jeered, "she is shaking and we haven't even done anything. What a wimp?" A loud slap and a couple of faint thuds sounded from a aisle down. You began to pick up your pace worried about the person.

"Oh is the little monster going to cry," Tom dared laughing quietly. The unknown voice joining as you rounded the corner. Two teenage boys stood with their backs towards you. They both wore flying team jackets for a rival school, Wind High. One had red curly hair, while the other had blond loose hair on the top and faded sides. They both towered over the small monster, who was a bright yellow and wore a white lab-

Wait. Bright yellow and wears a lab coat?

ALPHYS!

"Hey," you called as you shoved your hands into your pockets. Worried that you might actually swing on these bitches for bullying your 'friend'. The two boys turned towards you and smirked. You could see the pure rich, popular, jock on their faces. Trying so hard to be a badass with the cuts in their eyebrows and single stud earrings.

"Well if it isn't the freak," the redhead said stepping away from Alphys. Glaring at you as he sized you up. His voice didn't sound like Tom so, the blond must be him. "What the hell do you want?"

"I want you to stop messing with my friend," you explained in a calm manner, "Also I would like you to apologize as well." It was almost cocky with the way you smiled at the end. Acting calm was something you did automatically. After getting your ass beat repeatedly for it, it's kind of hard to turn it off. Only a few things did the job.

"Oh and why should we do that," Tom coaxed stepping towards you. You glanced at Alphys who, stood wide-eyed and shaking. A couple of mangas laid on the floor, they must have slapped those out her hands. Her eyes had tears pricking out of them as she stared at you with worry.

It seemed that this was one of the things that turned it off.

"Because it would be in your best interest," you suggested.

"Oh really," Tom debated, "It's not like you could do anything for us. Isn't that right Alex?" The redhead who you now know was Alex nodded. You lightly smirked as they simply made things a lot easier for you.
