"sans," you doubted as you stared into his white eyelights. Which, slightly grew in size as he eyed your structure.

"Wait you know sans," Frisk signed quickly. Twisting their head back and forth between you and sans. As if they were trying to figure something out.

"You can say that," you chided slightly through your teeth. It wasn't completely obvious to the children, however, sans heard it. You could see it by the way he peeled his eyes off you. Turning his head away and laughing awkwardly. Softly rubbing the back of his skull.

"hey [Y/N]," sans greeted with a small wave. You 'tsked' quietly as you twisted your head away.

"Did something happen between you two," Frisk signed slowly. Suddenly noticing the slightly tense air. From the side of your vision, you could see Skyla leaning towards MK. Who was translating what Frisk was saying for her. I can't be pissed around Skyla, you thought, I can't make her worry.

"Nah," you lied with a smile. Stepping towards them ruffling their hair while saying, "We are completely fine." A smile appearing on their face and an airy laugh escaped their mouth.  Frisk began to softly swat your hand, in attempts to make you stop.

"That's good," Frisk signed, "I think you two could become good friends." The left corner of your smile tugged slightly higher. That's what I thought too, you thought.

"Looks like the bus is here," you implied smoothly, jutting your head slightly forward. Further behind Frisk, you could see the bright yellow bus rounding the corner. Onto the street, on its way to pick the kids up and save you from this conversation.

"[Y/N]," Skyla called as she ran towards you with open arms. Finally, a real smile graced your face. You opened your arms which, she jumped into.  Her warm embraced allowed you to forget everything that was wrong. With life, the world, and...

Yourself.

"Be good," you whispered into her ear. Hugging her tightly goodbye. Once she left so, did everyone who cared about you. For the next few hours, you were bullied and insulted. Belittled and seen as nothing but, a freak and monster.

"I will," she beamed as she let go, taking the warmth with her. She began to walk towards the bus, entering the open doors. Before turning and shouting, "Have fun with your friend." Suddenly reminding you of sans, who stood behind you. You groaned silently as Skyla disappeared onto the bus. You stood there for a second, watching as it drove off with your sister.

"hey [y/n] i'm really sor-"

Ignoring sans you began to walk away.  Searching through your pockets for your phone and headphones. You didn't want to deal with his bullshit. He made himself clear yesterday about how he thought of you. So, why try to pretend to be friendly? Behind you, you could hear a small huff and a quickness in steps.

"hey [y/n]," sans called as he followed you.  Yet, you still ignored him and kept walking, always ahead by a couple of steps. Becoming pissed because he wouldn't leave you alone. And due to the fact, you couldn't find your headphones. When the yelling stopped as well as the sound of footsteps. Great, he's finally leaving me alon- When all of a sudden, large gusts of wind rushed behind you and over. You could see sans large black crow wings, sore over you. Only to land in front of you with his arms spread out. "hey i'm trying to talk to you," he complained.

"What? What do you have to say now sans," you snapped, having enough. "Is to yell in my face again? When I did nothing wrong! Huh! What is it," you roared glaring into his white eyelights, strongly. His froze for a second, shocked by your furious gaze. You felt a bit of pain as you saw this, reminding you of yourself. But, the memory of yesterday was burned into your head. "Come on I don't have all day," you growled lowly tapping your foot impatiently. Breaking sans from his froze state, taking a deep breath.

"i'm really sorry about yesterday. i didn't mean to act like that. it's just hard to know who is good and who is bad. so, far every human has been extremely rude and ruthless. or they would simply pretend to like us, only to stab us in the back. i just couldn't be hurt again," he said as he shook his wings softly. Seeming slightly distant as he fixated on his shoes. "not again," he whispered as if he was remembering something terrible. Shattering your angry bitch attitude.

Suddenly you understood. You've been there, on a daily bases. Memories flashed in your head of all the time's humanity was ruthless towards you. Being shoved into lockers for fun. Being insulted so many times, that it would take days to recite. Being ignored in line, due to being the town freak. Being called into the basement and getting beaten. Time and time again. It finally clicked in your head, that it was happening to the monsters too. You simply thought it had to deal with jobs and money but, it was far worse. They were being treated exactly like you. Freaks. Your glare softened and tapping stopped, taking a step forward.

"Hey, it's alright," you assured him, grabbing his hand. Snapping him out of the trance, to find your warm smile. "I forgive you so, there are no hard feelings. Okay?" He stood there, staring at you.  Studying your face slowly. Your smooth [s/c] skin which, glowed a bit in the sunlight. Cold [e/c] eyes with heavy dark bags underneath, that he probably questioned. The small [h/c] hairs poking out of our ponytail. Gazing a bit at your lips, only to shake his head quickly. Taking a step backward, making your hand fall.

"g- good," he stuttered as pulling his hood up. His wings poofing up lightly. You could see a faint blue shine from inside his hood.

"Are you okay," you asked as you stepped towards him. Worrying that you did something wrong. Damn it [Y/N], why did you have to do that, you yelled at yourself in your head.

"i'm fine," he declared as he held a hand up, "i'm just a bit cold." You could hear the lie in his words as he hid his face more. However, you decided to leave him be. It wasn't your place to intrude. Yet, you still felt like it was your fault. God, why am I such a fuck up?

"Alright," you shrugged, turning towards the way to school again, "Come on let's go, we don't want to be late." Beside you, you heard a faint 'hmmuh' as steps fell in beat with yours.
