Math seemed to have lasted for an eternity, especially since you finished the work within 20 minutes. So when the bell finally rang, you thought it was a blessing. Without a second thought, you were out the door. You were on your way to your extracurricular class, your only extracurricular class. Your school was so cheap with the classes. They only allowed a student to have one extra class other than basic education and gym. Instead, they use all of the money on new bleachers or outfits for flying events. But, you were fine with it as long as you got the one you wanted. And you did.

You entered a room that smells of old clays, pencil shavings, and spray paint. You took a deep breath and smiled, the art room was your second favorite spot in the entire school. The first was obviously anywhere high and quiet like the rooftop and the tree in the morning. You strolled over to your spot near the window. You placed your bag against the wall and sat on the ledge looking out at the empty schoolyard. Waiting until the bell rung cueing for the class to start. As you waited the door suddenly slammed open causing you to jump and snap towards it. In the doorway stood the tall skeleton from before, who was posing at the door.

"HELLO EVERYBODY THE GREAT PAPYRUS HAS MADE IT," he shouted as he smiled widely. Once again, you couldn't help but smile thinking about your little Skyla. Mrs. Rivera rushed out of the kiln room with wide eyes.

"What happened? Is everyone okay," she screamed frantically looking everywhere. You easily nodded and chuckled at her expression. You remember looking like that when Skyla tried to steal some cookies from the cookie jar, only for it fall and shatter on the floor. Man, you didn't think you ever ran that fast in the house.

"EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT DEAR TEACHER," Papyrus answered as Mrs. Rivera sighed in relief and laughed. She walked over to Papyrus with her dirty paint smock flapping against her legs with each step.

"You must be my new student," she smiled as she held a hand out. Papyrus saw this and took her hand, shaking it strong and roughly. Making Mrs. Rivera bounce a bit up and down, causing her braid to fly and descend.

"YES I AM, IT IS I THE GREAT PAPYRUS," he cheered as he released her and posed once more.

"Well, a pleasure to meet you Papyrus," Mrs. Rivera said, "I'm Mrs. Rivera the art teacher. Now would you please take a seat at one of the empty easels."

"OKAY," he agreed as he marched over to one of the seats in closest to the front, not taking note of you. While Mrs. Rivera went to the very front of the class beside a covered painting and an empty canvas with a tray of paints.

"Today class we will be doing a lesson about blending," she announced, "Blending is a great tool in art. It allows one color to change to another fluidly and gracefully, instead of blockly and forced. So, this is how you do it." She then explained the steps with different kinds of yellows, blending them so that the darker outside looked softer on the inside. Everyone in the class watched in awe, while you began to practice on a small piece of paper beside you. Once she was completed she stood back and examined the class. "Blending is a beautiful as you can see but, with some added elements," she trailed off as she pulled off the nearby sheet that was on the other canvas. Revealing a beautiful blue, pink, and purple galaxy with white stars painting causing the entire class to gasp. She continued with a proud smile, "You can go out of this world." You stifled a laugh at the pun, your mother would tell you jokes like that.

"OH, MY GOODNESS," Papyrus groaned as he wiped his face with his gloved hand.

"Okay I'm sorry I couldn't help myself," Mrs. Rivera giggled, "Now your assignment for the next couple of days is to make a painting with blending. Whether it be as big as the sea or as small as a petal on a flower, it must be included. If you need any help please do ask but, other than that get to work."

With that everyone got to work, turning to friends to chat or writing down ideas. While you went to the back and grabbed some paints. Dark blue, light blue, sky blue, baby blue plus some white, yellow, and black. With your arms full you walked back to your station which already had water, brushes, and paper towel. Hooked onto your easel was a white apron which, seemed to have had an incident at a rainbow factory. You pulled it over your head, picked up a brush and got working. As you were working you had your earbuds plugged in, listening to your favorite songs.

Time always seemed to fly by whenever you did something you enjoyed. Soon your alarm went off, letting you know that class was about to end. So you washed your brushes, put the paints back, put clean water in the cup, and throw out your trash. After you took a step back and admired your work, man I did pretty good. Suddenly the bell rang while you walked out, everyone else was scrambling to clean up.

Papyrus Pov

AS I WALKING BACK FROM WASHING MY BRUSHES, MY EYES TRAINED ON ONE OF MY CLASSMATES PAINTINGS. IT WAS BLENDING OF BLUES, BOTH DARK AND LIGHT, AS WELL AS A HINT OF YELLOW ANGLING UP FROM THE LOWER RIGHT. THERE WERE ALSO SWIRLS AND BRUSHES OF WHITE INSIDE THESE COLORS. MAKING IT LOOK LIKE THE SKY AS THE SUN WAS SETTING. I WOULDN'T LIE ABOUT THIS BUT, THIS PAINTING WAS GREAT.

NOT AS GREAT AS ME...

BUT STILL EXTREMELY GREAT! AS I FORCED MY EYES AWAY I HAD ONE THOUGHT, WHO MADE THAT?
