"Come on guys," Skyla grinned as the elevator opened. You stepped out onto the freshly painted stands. Hearing cheers and loud laughter, plus the stomping of children as the bounced in excitement. "Look front row seats," she cheered as quickly made way. You followed behind your sister, making sure to keep a hold on her shoulder in order to not lose her. Only letting go when you reached the metal seats. In front was a low metal railing, which was there for 'safety'.
"Skyla sit down," you ordered as you sat down next to the aisle, "I don't want to fall." With a smile, Skyla skipped over and sat beside you. When suddenly a loud horn sounded, notifying everyone that the show was starting.
"Come on dad," Skyla yelled, "The performance is starting!"
"I'm coming," the shadow called back with a polite smile.
You watched as a man in a pale green button-up shirt sat beside Skyla. He also wore black jeans and black dress shoes. His hair was neatly gelled and combed back while his face was adorned with rectangle glasses. He hooked his arm over Skyla's shoulder pulling her towards him. It always astounded you, how the shadow was always able to look so different than the nights in the basement. Where his hair was tossed and everywhere. While his shirt was either misbuttoned or open to the middle of his chest. His glasses and polite smile were forgotten and lost. His eyes met yours, you quickly turned away and watched the show. Pretending as if you weren't staring at him. However, you could feel his stare boring into you.
Just try to ignore it [Y/N] and enjoy the show...

The senior performance was quite well-done. Sure, you watched during the routine during practice. But it was never the same as the big day.
"COTTON CANDY FOR SALE," a voice yelled behind you. You peeked over your shoulder to see a man in red. Holding a stick with multiple blue and pink cotton candies on it. "COTTON CANDY FOR SALE!"
"Oh my god cotton candy," Skyla beamed as she shook in excitement. She was always a sucker for treats. You guess that was something she had in common with you. "[Y/N] can you get us some cotton candy," Skyla pleaded as she grabbed your sleeve. Tugging it lightly repeatedly as she bounced.
"Sky it's really early right now," you explained, "I don't think you should-"
"It's alright," the shadow interrupted. You snapped your attention to him, he had a tight-lipped smile and you could see a flicker of darkness in his eyes. Your face became a little pale as you gave him a shaky smile in return. Never deny his princess anything in his presence. That was usual you wanted another harsh beating.
"Ok," you mumbled quietly as you tore your eyes away from him. Adjusting your coat and dusting yourself off as you got up. You began to slowly climb the stairs passing multiple people. Who stared and glared at you. Whispering bad things about you, wondering what you were doing here.
"[Y/N]," a voice shouted behind you. You turned to see Skyla on the seat with her hands around her mouth. How many times have I told her not to do that, you thought with a slight frown. "I WANT THE PINK ONE!" With a small smile, you nodded and continued our adventure to the man in red.
As you neared him, there was a small line that you had to wait. Behind you, you heard so sea of talking. Each voice mixing with another and every conversation blending with one another. Not allowing you to decipher who was saying what and what they were saying. You allowed yourself to drown in this loud noise, quietly smiling. As much as you hated being in public and everything that came with it. The noise would suffocate your thoughts and bad thinking. Replacing it with dry static.
"What would you like," the man in red asked as it was your turn. You could hear a slight bitterness behind his words, yet you ignored it. It was completely normal.
"One pink cotton candy," you replied.
"$1.50," he disclosed as he held his hand out. You reached into your satchel and pulled out your wallet. Grabbing the exact amount and placed it in his hand.
"Thank you," you smiled as you received a pink cotton candy, "Have a good day."
"Whatever freak," he muttered as you began to turn around. You tensed slightly but, pushed it off. As you scanned the crowd for your little sunshine. She was the only one that you needed. However, you froze as your eyes widened at the sight before you.
In the distance, you could see the shadow in his normal form. His hair was messy and tossed as he continued to angrily ran his fingers through his hair. His shirt was more wrinkled and was pulled open lower. His glasses were gone as well as his smile. In front of him was Frisk, MK and your 'friends', plus two tall furry goat monsters. You could see, Skyla between the shadow and the others with her arms out. Defending them like when she defended you from sans so long ago. You could see the way his nose flared in rage as his eyes darkened. No, no, no, no, you thought as the need to move began to return to you. You tried to make your way through the large crowd, keeping your eyes on them. I need to get there quickly, you thought, I don't know what could happen right no-
But, what happened next was something that you never thought was going to happen. Never in a million years. At that moment, your whole world shattered into a million pieces as you dropped the sweet treat onto the floor. As everything moved in slow motion. The yelling. The shouting. The anger. The pushing...
