"HEY STOP YELLING AT MY SISTER," a small voice yelled cutting off sans. You turned behind you, to find Skyla with her hands on her hips. Standing tall and giving sans her meanest glare- which was kind of adorable. She marched down the stairs and stood in front of you, with her arms spread trying to protect you. As you saw this, you panic slowly went down. "SHE DID NOTHING WRONG SO, STOP BEING A BULLY!"

Skyla was so brave. Without even knowing what was the problem, she was trying to protect you. You clenched your fist tightly as you thought, I'm so weak. A little girl is tougher than me. She probably doesn't even need me... You unclenched your fist and threw on a smile. Forcing a laugh- which sounded real due to practice- you ruffled your sister's head.

"Hey, Skyla what did I say about yelling at people," you mentioned as she turned towards you. Her brows were raised and curved in shock. She took a double-take, snapping her head from sans to you with an open mouth. While sans stood behind her watching as the scene unfolded.

"But, he was-" You stopped her, putting up a single finger. Telling her to stop and hush. Her raised arm flopped down to her side with a slight frown. What kid enjoyed being scolded?

"But nothing," you scolded, "he didn't know anything." As your focus was on Skyla, you could see sans snap his head towards you. Glaring at you, however, you stood your ground. Sure, you can't take care of yourself but Skyla...

You'd die before someone lays a hand on her.

"Yeah but that doesn't mean that he should've yelled at you," she huffed as she crossed her arms. She turned her back towards you as she mumbled, "It's not your fault that you're always working and taking care of me." Which caught sans attention as his eyes widen as if pieces began to fall into place.

"That is very true," you agreed as moved in front of her, "However, I don't want you to ever do that again." Her eyes lifted to you with a tilted head. You kneeled down to her level and grabbed her by her shoulders. "It could be extremely dangerous if, you rush to my safety. And I don't want you to get hurt because of me," you explained.

"But-"

"But nothing," you cut her off, in a demanding tone, "I can take care of myself. Okay?" Skyla seemed hesitant as she fiddled with her thumbs. Nonetheless, you weren't going to let this go. If she was to ever accidentally catch you getting beat. You needed you to know she wouldn't do anything.

"Okay," she said. You let out a breath that you didn't know that you were holding.

"Good," you beamed as you ruffled her hair softly, "now I was thinking about making a stop at Feather Cafe today." Her eyes grew three times in size as she jumped up and down. It was always easy to make her happy.

"YESSSSS," she cheered.

"Well then go get your stuff," you instructed pointing to her open bag. She started her homework earlier so, she had a bit of a mess to clean up. She raced up the bleachers, quickly cleaning. You shook your head slowly and chuckled, what am I going to do with her? Your head lifted to find sans staring at you. You sighed as you stood back up, dusting yourself off. "Well, now you know," you trailed off with a slight shrug.

"heh heh yeah," he trailed off as he rubbed the back of his skull. There was a moment of silence, long awkward silence. This was one of the reasons why you don't tell people. They never know what to say or they have too much to say. Why do you need a job? Are you having family problems? How much you work? YOU WORK HOW MUCH? And the questions go on, all it did was get on your nerves. After a while, sans sighed and looked away from you, "i'm sorry i didn't know that-"

"It's fine," you said, not wanting to hear his excuse. Everyone says sorry to you and never means it so, you didn't want to hear it. You just needed to move on.

"but it's not," he argued as he threw his hands out, "i shouldn't have yelled at you. it was wrong. i simply thought that you were like the humans, who use us." Now, this pissed you off.

"I don't know why you thought that... I have been nothing but, nice to you guys. I even stuck my neck out for you guys. When I spoke up against Adam about Papyrus," you seethed as you twisted away. You grabbed your grab and threw it over your shoulder. Turning back with an icy stare, continuing, " I may seem like a dick but, I'm a good person. But if that's how you feel about me, then so be it..." sans sharply took in some air as he waved his hands in front of his body.  However, before sans could argue with you, Skyla came rushing down past you.

"COME ON [Y/N]," Skyla called as she waved her arms. It was as if she was trying to flag down a plane. You mentally thanked your sister and strolled past sans.

"See you tomorrow sans," you ended as you giving him one final glance. His eyelights wavered as he studied you. His hand was slightly reached out and he was leaning forward. It was as if he was going to run after you.

Which, was something that you both wanted and didn't. You wanted him to run over and tell you he was wrong. So, you can have hope in a new friend. Reassuring you that you weren't making shit up in your head.  But, you wanted him to stay right there due to the way he thought of you. You hated using and being mean to others. You felt that on a daily and it hurt. So, it wasn't something you wanted to pass to other people.

However, he stood there.

With a wave, you turned back around and accompanied your sister.
