"Did you really have to do that," he sighed as he neared you. You leaned against the wall with your hands in your pockets.

"Do what," you snickered thinking about how he looked.

"You didn't have to run off like that. You could have just said no," he stated crossing his arms.

"You would have just kept trying," you claimed as you watched some of the students finish their laps. Landing back onto the floor and walking to the water dispenser, that wasn't too far from you and Mr. Smith. Watching and leaning closer in order to hear your conversation. Nosy assholes.

"Yes because I know you can fly! And you are good at it," he cajoled as he threw his hands into the air. You rolled your eyes. This is why it sucked having an old friend as a teacher. Mr. Smith was an old co-worker of your mother. He knew you since you were around Skyla's age and was even there when you first summoned your wings. He took a deep breath and brushed his hair back saying, "If this has to deal with your mother then-"

The claws on my slippers clinked against the wooden floor as I landed onto the floor.  I walked over to the large water dispenser and got a cup. It was a small dixie cup with blue and green swirls but, it would do. As I filled it the others finished their laps and landed walking over. I was about to say something when a loud voice cut me off from my right.

"This has nothing to deal with her," they argued. I turned to find [Y/N] arguing with Mr. Smith, not very far. It seemed that whatever they were talking about was something serious.

"This started after she died, you need to get over i-," Mr. Smith started but was cut off.

"I don't need to do anything," [Y/N] growled as she launched off the wall holding a finger up. She was angry, extremely angry. She had an ice-cold stare and was clenching a fist in her other hand. I watched as she barred her teeth for a second and fumed, "I'm never going to fly. Not even if you pay me all the money in the world. I will never fly again. Never." With that, she walked past him like it was nothing. Mr. Smith's face was covered in worry again as he rubbed his face. What the fuck are they talking about?

[Y/N] Pov

"[Y/N] are you okay," Skyla asked with a knitted-brow, walking towards you. She studied you with worry, seeing how upset you were. Fuck...

"Heh, of course, I'm okay Sky," you lied pulling on a smile. I can't have her worry about me, you thought. You went over and playfully ruffled her hair which, caused her to giggle. "How about we work on your lessons, huh," you asked changing the subject.

"I really hope I will summon my wings today," Skyla cheered, hopping in excitement. Forgetting all about her concern a couple of seconds ago. It was always easy to do that with Skyla.

"I'm sure you'll get it," you smiled. In the corner of your eye, you could see the small skeleton watching you. Well, it was fun being normal for a bit, you thought as a small pain throbbed inside of you. You ignored it, having grown used to after all of these years. "Alright, Sky. In order to fly, you need to shut all everything else out. All of your thoughts, all noises, all of your worries and stress, everything is gone," you explained as Skyla nodded, "Now close your eyes and imagine yourself with wings." She closed her eyes and began to focus. "Imagine yourself flying in the air. Your feathers feeling a cooling summer breeze. You breaking through a soft fluffy cloud. Feeling the warm rays across your wings. Imagine," you directed as you saw a small light behind your sister's back, "Imagine that your gliding. Feeling the water skid across your fingers and the grass tickle your belly. Imagine swerving through the trees and breaking through the leaves." The light behind her was growing and growing. She is going to do it, you thought. When suddenly it blipped out of existence. Skyla opened her eyes breathing heavily as she tried to look behind her.

"Did I do it," she inquired, spinning in circles.

"No," you sighed. You saw how her face dropped with disappointment. You side hugged her and kiss the top of her head. "But you were really close this time," you encouraged stepping back, "Like this close." You began to pinch your fingers together as small as possible.

"I'm always close," she huffed crossing her arms turning away from you. You hated seeing her like this. She was your everything and if she was sad, then you felt like you were failing. Not only as a sibling but, as in failing in life.

"Hey," you drawled sliding in front of her. "How about we get some ice cream after school," you suggested, hoping it would bring a smile to her face.

"Really," she asked relaxing a bit.

"Yes really," you smiled. In return, she smiled back as she hugged you strongly. Now, this was your Skyla. Happy, loving, and carefree. You glanced at your watch and seen that class was almost over. "Come on Sky. We best get ready if we want to leave and get the good flavors," you advised as she quickly let you go. She then raced to your belongs which were still on the floor. As you were walking you seen the small group land not too far from your sister. They were laughing and smiling, having a blast. Oh, how did you want to join but...

They most likely didn't like you anymore.

Your sister came running back with your stuff and her's. Before you could even put your bag on, the bell rang.

Throughout the entire class, my mind was on [Y/N]. Wondering about why she was a 'freak', why she wouldn't fly, what she and Mr. Jones were talking about, and many more. With this girl, the questions were just piling up. However, I tried to shake it off as I spoke with the others.

"See you tomorrow, class," Mr. Smith shouted as kids filed into the locker rooms, "We will be discussing your year's performance. So, be prepared." The year performance, I thought. From what I heard it was something they did every year. All of the grades would come out and show their skills for everyone to see. However, it was mostly based for seniors like myself and the others. So, we could get into good colleges and stuff. But, I knew these humans were going to be biased and not give a damn about a skilled monster. I sighed and shook my head softly, trying to get myself away from my thoughts.

"Where do you think [Y/N] is going," Undyne asked looking to her left. I turned to see [Y/N] leaving through the side exit following the little girl she came with. Unlike everyone else who leaves through the front. It seems like another question to add to the pile, I thought.

"i don't know Undyne," I said as I watched the door close, "i really don't know."

Who are you, [Y/N]?
