Chapter 5: Chat

After what had seemed way too odd an encounter, Jimin and finally made his way back to their tent.

"Yah, where were you, I was worried you were eaten or worse!!", Tae had shouted, causing Jimin to panic slightly.

"Sorry, I didn't think you'd wake up. I was just going to the bathroom outside. Besides, you were the one who said I was the best-skilled fighter in our society."

Jimin didn't take to heart what Tae had said about him, but he decided to use it as an excuse, as that's all he could see it as.

Plus, he was nervous about Tae finding out about his 'odd zombie' encounter, thinking that he would stop being his best friend for some reason, that is if he found out at all.

Or that Tae would want to kill the zombie to make sure Jimin wouldn't get confused about the side he was on.

After their chat, they went back to sleep, knowing they'd have to pack up and head on the road back home.

After packing up and getting everything cleaned up, they left their hidden that they'd stayed at, and started walking towards the road.

Jimin fought with himself about telling Tae when they got back, and safely inside the gates.

But of course his other side won, leading him to think of how he would tell him.

So he started thinking of possibilities until he decides to just let it roll out, however it may.

"Tae?"

"Yes? What is it?"

"Can I tell you something, and you promise not to get mad or freak out?"

"...What is it."

"I...um, I saw a zombie last night."

And after that, Tae flipped, and he started to rap with how mad he was.

"WHAT THE HECK!!!!! YOU SAW ONE LAST NIGHT? WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP?!?! I COULD'VE HELPED YOU KILL IT!!"

"Hear me out, ok? Besides, you said you wouldn't freak out or get mad!"

"YOU KNOW, ITS A LITTLE UPSETTING TO KNOW THAT YOUR BESTFRIEND GOES TO USE THE BATHROOM, BUT FINDS A ZOMBIE AND DOESN'T EVEN CONSIDER TELLING ME. DID YOU KILL IT???"

"...."

"Oh my god, Jimin. What's wrong with you? Why didn't you kill it?"

"It wasn't like all the others. It was different. It didn't look like a regular zombie."

"Well you still gotta kill it!!! For all you know, that could be the next zombie to kill us all, since you say it was different. If it really was. I don't know if I can trust you now. Besides, the moon was out last night. You could've just seen light reflecting and made you think it was different."

"But it was different. You don't understand. It was. Its skin wasn't pale like the others I've seen. Its hair was present, quite different from the norm. Its lips were almost human color. But its eyes, the eyes weren't like normal. They were blue. And Tae, I know for a fact no others zombies eyes are that color. I know you've not seen any others like it either. Plus, it didn't attack me, and I was standing literally right next to it. Don't you think it would've attacked me if I were that close and it have been a normal one?"

Jimin shut up his friend real quick, with all of that.

But now Tae just has to decide it he believes his friend, or if he'll just let it slide, since Jimin was tired from the day's journey.

"I don't know if I believe you, Jimin."

"You've got to. You know I have no reason to lie. You know that better then anyone. And yet you question my sincerity on this. Wow... I can't believe you don't think I'm telling the truth. That hurts. Especially after how long we've been friends for."

And with that, they continued their journey back home, not wanting to speak openly about it and having something horrible happen.
