Chapter 9: Again

Jimin had woken up from his sleep, needing to use the bathroom.

He sighed, thinking to himself, "why am I waking up just to go to the bathroom?".

He slowly sat up, the sleeping bag pooling around his sides.

He got up, and got his jacket and put it on, since it was slightly cold outside.

He opened the zipper to the tent he previously set up, and exited the entrance of it. He figured he should just visit the same spot as last time, since that was apparently where the zombie was.

As he stepped out of the tent, he headed to his left, remembering the landscape of the area from last time.

He kept walking until he reached the spot that seemed familiar.

The moon was out, but the area around him was illuminated even more than last time.

Every tree and bush around him was glowing in the light of the moon.

"Why is the moon out so bright like the last time? What's up with that?". Jimin thought to himself, not wanting to speak and see if the zombie would show up.

As he reached the spot he was at like last time, and finished his business, and decided to wait for a minute.

So he just stood there, soundless, motionless, waiting for any sign of that zombie since he was trying to prove a point.

.....

He stood there for a good few minutes until he decided it was time to head back to his tent and finish sleeping, as his body and mind craved it so badly.

He started heading back until he heard a noise.

He stopped and thought "is it here?".

But he thought he might've just been hearing things, so he started walking again until he heard a twig breaking on the ground from somewhere near him.

He turned around to see if there was anything there, but he thought it best to stay still for a few seconds and listen to see if it was just an animal passing by.

So he waited...

And waited....

And waited until he couldn't anymore and turned around to find those same blue eyes looking directly at him.

He got scared, his heartbeat rising, his palms sweaty.

He wanted to turn around and run, but his body was paralyzed with fear, making him unable to move.

He saw the zombie closing in, slow steps, but it was definitely getting closer, that much he could tell.

He still felt paralyzed, and he realized... maybe this zombie was like every other one out there?

What if it just wanted to eat his brains?

Taehyung would be right about this.

He was so paralyzed with fear that he couldn't even keep his eyes open any longer.

So he closed them, hoping that if he did, the zombie would be gone after opening them.

He kept them closed, hoping that he was dreaming, until he opened his eyes.

Only to meet the zombies eyes on his, it standing really close to him, only leaving enough space for half an arm's length between them.

He almost screamed, but before he could, the zombie put it's finger up to his plump lips, signaling to him that everything would be ok and that it didn't want to eat him.

He thought Tae would be right about this zombie, but Jimin knew that it wasn't like the rest.

So he took it's message, and closed his mouth, since it was still gaping open.

He was still paralyzed, but he knew it'd be alright since this zombie hasn't hurt him yet.

He tried to calm down, but he lifted his hand up to his eye to wipe away a tear...

Wait... why was there a tear???

That's when he looked up, only to see the zombie holding him in his arms.

He tried to break free, but the zombie was too strong. But how could he be this strong?

It was only a zombie???

He finally was able to break away from the zombie, and jogged back to his tent, zipping it closed, and scooting back into his sleeping bag, forcing his eyes closed until he was finally deep asleep.

But little did Jimin know, his zombie encounter was far from over.
