Jimin had followed after Minha, making sure that Tae and Jungkook had been following along.
He had gotten pretty worried about Taehyung, especially after he'd had a mini freak out session, standing in front of the groaning zombie horde, practically offering himself to those dried out meat eaters.
Jimin had pretty much thought it was safe to assume that Tae really hadn't been ready for their adventure, even when he said he had been, because of the way he'd looked as well as acted.
But, those thoughts aside, he'd glanced all around the dimly lit room, eyes rolling around to every corner of the room that he was able to see, thanks to the mini rectangular-shaped windows situated higher up than most people working there.
He thought it was just for safety, so he'd ignored it, and offered his wandering vision to the messily arrayed stack of metal filing cabinets, thinking there could have been the possibility of finding some documents in there that may have lead to where everyone's thoughts were directed the minute they had all stepped foot inside the building: finding out how everything had started.
From how and why the plant had blown up, to when and where that man was that started it all.
Jimin sauntered carefully in the direction of the filing cabinets, aware of how any wrong move or lean against any wall could cause the demise of all of them.
He took note of how eerily quiet it was, aside from the slight pittering of footsteps in front and back of him, thanks to his friends that he'd strung along with him.
"There could be something in there... something to lead us to whoever did this..." Jimin mumbled to himself.
He'd hoped that maybe, just maybe, if he'd reached into the filing cabinets stacked messily by the wall, he would find that one thing, that one piece of evidence that strung everything together, make everything click.
Hell, at this point, it didn't even have to be about who started all of this.
He'd just be satisfied with finding out why everything had taken place.
But the greater side won out.
Curiosity.
There was no way he'd let the chance slip of finding out who had done all of this.
And most importantly, why they had done all of this.
So, slipping his hand past the opened filing cabinet, he'd reached in with some hesitation. Almost as if the eerie silence had been telling him something from the very beginning, them steppimg foot inside the plant.
He gradually pulled out some papers that had been sitting there for a while, eyeing the stiffened white sheets, hoping that if he'd even so much as grazed over them, he'd learn something.
But he knew that he would have to show the others, seeing as they would be very curious.
So he began walking very slowly back out of the darkened area he was in, and slowly made his way back to the others, wondering what they were up to as well.
He knew he could leave Tae and Jungkook with Minha because shecwas a badass in his opinion, walking around, out and about on her own.
To him, that showed just how much she had trusted herself.
As he walking, though, he thought he'd kept on hearing footsteps following suit behind him.
So he decided to test what he heard.
He took a few more steps, then paused for a few seconds, hearing the faint ones behind him stop.
Then he'd started walking again, making sure to confirm what he'd been hearing following along behind.
He heard it once more, before he stopped walking.
Only, as soon as he stopped walking this time, he heard a faint, very faint laugh coming from behind.
He turned around, only to be pushed to the floor.
