After what had seemed way too long a walk, Jimin and Tae finally made it to their little society, after walking back through the gates.
Tae really wanted to ask Jimin if he thought not killing the "odd zombie" was ok in his mind, but apparently he did think it was ok not to, since he didn't kill it.
"Hey, Jimin... I really think you should've killed that zombie."
"Why? There's nothing wrong with letting it live. It didn't do anything, it didn't even hurt me!!!"
"JIMIN. YOU SHOULD DAMN WELL KNOW THAT ANY ZOMBIE YOU COME ACROSS IS GOING TO HURT YOU, NO MATTER HAPPENS. A ZOMBIE WILL HURT YOU, EVEN IF ITS NOT LIKE THE REST."
"Yes, Tae. I know..." Jimin said, almost sounding defeated.
After their little argument, they made it to the canteen area, finding a seat since all the others were taken by other readying themselves to go kill some zombies or scavenge for necessities.
"So... Jimin, tell me. I'm willing to hear out your side of the story since you know how I feel about it." Tae had said, feeling like he might regret it.
"Well... I don't really know where to start or how to say it, put it into words..."
"Just try your best, Jimin. You know I'm your friend. And as your friend, I'm obligated to go through the craziest of things with you, even if they seem out of this world."
"Ok... well, that night, I woke up to use the restroom, or rather, find a spot... and after I unzipped the tent's entrance, I stepped out and started walking to my left, trying to find a decent spot. As I walked around, looking for a good spot, I heard sticks and twigs breaking... but I didn't see anything... not until the moon shown. Then it popped up suddenly. As the moon's light shown all around me, I saw it.
The face of the odd zombie I saw that night. You should've seen it. It's skin was almost colored, colored just enough to almost pass as human. It's lips were the same as well... but it's eyes... oh Tae, they were the brightest blue I'd ever seen in the outbreak..."
Jimin had said, hoping that he could win his best friend over with his detailed description of the zombie he'd seen that night.
Tae had looked at him as if he were almost puzzling pieces together, imagining how things would go if he told all his other friends.
"Please promise you won't tell anyone. I don't want others thinking I'm crazy." Jimin said, hoping Tae wouldn't be that person to spread such info.
I mean, he's known him how long now? Years. You would think he wouldn't do such a thing with how he acted with Jimin...
After their conversation in the canteen area, they decided to head back to their respective rooms, saying their goodbyes before hitting the hay for the night.
Jimin had gotten inside his room, closing his door... hoping Tae wouldn't be that person.
Jimin had by then changed into his pajamas, consisting of just a random shirt he found and some grey lounging pants.
After changing, he flopped his tired body onto his bed, exhausted from the day he'd had.
He recounted what he'd done today and was exhausted even in spirit at how full his day was, but he knew there would be many, many more days like this in the future.
After recounting the events of the day, he covered himself up with very cozy, even comforting blankets.
After covering himself, he was slowly pulled into the darkness of sleep, hoping his day tomorrow wouldn't be so packed.
But he had no idea of what his best friend, Tae was doing in the meantime.
