Before the Outbreak

"Ok, Minha. It's time to go to the dentist." Her father had told her.

"Ok. I'm coming." She replied, half yelling as she was in another room entirely, picking up her toys she was playing with.

Minha had been 6 or 7 around this time, totally under others' influence as she had only been in this world for a short time, unlike her father or mother, who were willing to let the government take her away without her own knowledge or consent.

Minha had obviously not known that her parents had taken hands with the government, or rather, doctors and psychologists who had been working in the government, to let them test on her.

Her parents had always felt she was just a bit different from other students at her school, granted she was only 6 or 7 at the time. Though only so young and new to the world, her parents had always felt that she had this 'power' that no other in her grade had, and they'd felt like she was different even at birth.

Upon the time she had turned 10, she had been unknowingly escorted to a facility where she had no idea what would happen.

Amongst all this craziness, she'd asked "dad, where are we? I thought you said we were going to the dentist?", to which she'd gotten a look of 'you should know this'  from her father.

After what had been awhile of her father driving to the facility without her knowing, he'd taken her out of the car and brought her inside, where people of all 'smart people' backgrounds were holed up, investigating and researching various things.

Curious eyes, Minha had been watching everyone and everything coming and going, keyboards being tapped away at and pens and pencils scribbling things down unknown and foreign to her.

"Minha, you'll be staying here for a while. You'll be helping them to understand things. I'll be going now, be good for them. I love you. Goodbye." Her father had spoken, being very brief before turning around and walking out while listen to the sad cries of his daughter wanting to leave with him, but being held back by others holding her by her arms.

"DADDY NO!!! DON'T LEAVE... I WANNA COME WITH.." Minha had cried, tears streaking her cheaks as she was sobbing uncontrollably.

But what she couldn't see, was her father tearing up slightly, knowing this was for the best.

It had beaten her father up emotional, as wgen he got inside his car again, he'd remembered her distraught cries and pleas to leave with him.

Scurrying out of there, her father had hit on the gas, zooming away, preventing him from turning back to get his daughter once he'd gotten in traffic.

Never looking back...

....

"Ok, sweetie. Follow us. We'll take you to do something fun." A lady in a white lab coat had said, grabbing her clipboard and pen before directing her down a hall to a room on the right.

Dried tears on her cheaks, Minha had seen no way to turn back, as she was too busy crying and thrashing around for her father to come back, tears welling up in her eyes, vision blurring.

Following the woman to the door, Minha had walked inside to see what looked similar to a dentist chair in the center of the room, though Minha had caught some weird looking things on the wrist part of the arms on the chair.

Before she could question what everything was about, she was brought to the chair, and jumping up onto it, seeing as she could refuse anyhow.

Gathering her courage, she asked "what are you going to do to me m'am?", to which the lady replied with "We're just going to give you a very special injection to help you with the 'flu'".

After which, the lady had grabbed a needle with glowing blue liquid in it, before injecting it in Minha's arm.

This was how it all started...
