Chapter 30: Deeper

15 years ago...

"Come on!!" Jungkook said, "you've got to let go of me! I need to go get some ingredients for dinner tonight!!" He said, trying to push his mom off of him to go to the nearby convenience store.

Jungkook's mother was the type to cling to the things she loved, Jungkook was no excuse, plus the fact the he was her son and loved him so much that she didn't even want to let go of him just so he could go get things for their dinner that night.

After a while of him and her standing there, his mom finally let go of him, allowing him to finally be able to go and get things he needed, which she asked him to go get after giving him enough money to go and get what they only needed for it.

Once Jungkook had made his way to the living room to get his shoes on, his eyes had laid upon the tv, showing the news of their area in South Korea.

It showed semi important news which didn't really affect where he and his mom stood, as they weren't ranchers or anything of the sort, but they did care about the agricultural stuff, as that's what their interests lied in, somewhat, anyway.

Sitting down on the couch and reaching for his shoes, he undid the lace bow and slipped them on his feet, before tying another lace bow on them.

Sighing once he was done getting both shoes on, he looked over at the tv, which still showed news about more agricultural issues, until suddenly, a red alert flashed on the screen.

"Hey, mom. Come look at this. They've got an alert going." Jungkook half-shouted at his mom, who was in the kitchen, half-way in the process of making dinner. Which she couldn't complete just yet, because she was sending Jungkook to the store for ingredients which she needed to finish their dinner for the night.

"I'm coming!" She replied, walking fast to get to the living room, "oh my. What is this alert for?"

"They're sayjng the plant five miles away just blew up," he responded, grabbing the remote and turning the volume up.

["Officials are saying that this as a result of poor attention on the job. Can you elaborate on that?"]

The woman on the screen asked a man dressed clad in overalls, working man's brown jacket, and yellow hard hat.

["Well, yes. One of our workers had fallen asleep right near a lever, which I had clearly stated should never be touched, as it could blow this facility up. Seeing how this incident turned out, I believe someone will be either getting a very long break or will be fired. But, as of now, we're having some people come down to deactivate the lever, since no worker can go in, seeing as these are very dangerous chemicals we've been working with."]

On the screen, the man had been talking, but as he was speaking you could see even more flame burst, leading to more smoke or emissions of the chemicals leak into the air.

[" Do you foresee the plant being shutdown for good? Do you think there's any remote chance this plant could be brought back from the state it's currently in?"]

["Well, no. I think it's gonna take at least a year or more to get it back into shape. Everyone is working extremely hard to contain the toxic chemicals inside."]

["I see. And what kinds of chemicals do you work with at the plant?"]

["Well, I can't specifically tell you what chemicals they are, but I can tell you they aren't good for the human body. They'll make you horribly sick, so far beyond the normal mind of a human, that they make you go feral. Which is why everyone is doing their best to keep it contained inside the plant. Just be sure to stay away from here for a good long while."]
