Chapter 7: Rumors

Jimin had woken up, feeling refreshed from the amazing sleep he'd gotten last night.

He stretched in bed, feeling all of his bones groaning in the movements, muscles stretching.

He sat up, and got his slippers on, heading towards the bathroom and opening the door to go inside and brush his teeth and brush his hair, though he really had no need for it, as his hair was almost perfect every morning.

He picked up his toothbrush and toothpaste, squeezed some toothpaste on it and then dropped some water on it, then started brushing. He brushed for a few good minutes until he decided he was done and spit into the sink, rinsing his toothbrush after, setting it down once he was finished.

He exited the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

He thought about getting dressed similar to yesterday, but decided to dress comfortably, only wearing some grey jogging pants and a white shirt, with some comfortable, soft shoes... unlike yesterday.

After getting dressed, he thought of going to Tae, see what he was up to.

So he headed out, closing the door behind him, going to the canteen area, knowing that's where Tae would most likely be.

"Hi, Taehyung... how's my bestfriend doing today?"

Tae had noticed Jimin, seeing how happy he was, it being a new day and all.

Jimin noticed that when he looked at his bestfriend, he looked guilty.

But why?

Jimin thought about guessing why he might be, but thought against it, as it might only bring more discomfort to their relationship, considering what they'd conversed about the day before.

As he walked closer to where Tae was sitting, he noticed how he looked at Jimin.

"Ohh... um... hi. How's it going?" Tae had said, rubbing his hands together slightly, signaling to Jimin once he saw it as a sign of stress, guilt even.

But why was his bestfriend acting like this?

He decided to ask him.

"Why do you look so guilty?" He asked, wondering what he could get out of him.

"Its just... I don't know how to say this. I... kinda told someone about your 'encounter'." Tae said, hoping Jimin wouldn't probe any further.

"WHAT???" Jimin had yelled pretty loudly, enough to earn a few concerned and annoyed looks from people around them.

Jimin had noticed this and quickly sat down, retorting from all looks he was getting, wanting to apologize but not wanting to cause an even bigger scene than just now.

"Who do you tell?"

"Just one person..."

"Tae, how many people did you tell."

"Two people--"

"Tae..."

"Three..."

Jimin had shot him a glare, signaling to spill all information.

"Ok... five people." Tae had said, tears building up in his eyes from being put on the spot.

"Five?!?!?!?" Jimin said, whisper-yelling.

"Yes... but no more then that. I thought I could trust them, but..." Tae said, trailing of at 'but', hoping Jimin wouldn't catch him.

"I hear a but in there Tae. Did they tell anyone else?"

"Maybe... I'm not sure..."

Those few words were enough for Jimin to get so angry, he almost forgot to whisper.

"Maybe... you're not sure?!?!?"
Jimin had whisper-yelled again.

"Tae, why would you even tell anyone about my supposed 'encounter'?"

"Jimin... I don't know, I just panicked and had to tell someone... I'm sorry."

Jimin sighed after, signaling to his bestfriend that was not happy with his current situation and how Tae reacted to it.

"Tae..."

"Hmm?"

"Just... try not to let it spread too far. I don't want the higher ups finding out and killing that weird zombie I saw, because they could use it to study and learn from... maybe even try to communicate with it."

"Alright, I'll do my best. I talk to the others and tell them it was made up."

"Good job Tae... just remember, rumors can really hurt. They don't feel good."

But they weren't just rumors anymore.
