Zombie (Jikook)(COMPLETED)

Chapter 8: Back

Jimin had finished talking with Tae and decided that he needed clarification to really tell Tae that the zombie wasn't harmful, or even intended anything like that.

"Tae... I'm going to go back to the woods out there, where we stayed the night."

"Then I'll come with yo-"

"No, Tae. I'm going alone on this one. I really need it to be just me..."

"Why can't I go with you?"

"Because I'm afraid that if you went along with me, we'd run into that zombie and you'd get defensive near it, and I'm trying to get you to believe that it won't harm me at all. Please just allow me this."

".... I dont know, Jimin. I really don't want you going out there, only to come back bitten, or worse, not come back and be... dead."

As Taehyung finished that sentence, his mouth had gone dry, just thinking about how his best friend could go out alone just to prove something and end up injured, or dead.

"Tae, you and I both know that I'm the strongest one we've got, aside from you and a few others."

"Well... I guess, but I'm saying 'I told you so' if you come back bitten or whatever."

"Thanks Tae. I'll prove that this one means no harm. Trust me."

And with that, Jimin left to get his things packed for the night ahead of him.

Jimin had reached his room, finding all things necessary again for his outing for the night.

He opened the door to his room, searching for his bag and tent that he'd kept with him for a while after that scavanging hunt he went on with Tae not too far back ago.

He unzipped it, finding half of the things he'd need for the night.

But he figured he'd also bring some sort of weapon, just in case he ran into a zombie which wasn't the one he ran into that night, also considering it was the apocalypse, but the area they usually went to didn't really occupy any zombies.

He shoved some extra things into his backpack just in case, zipping it after assuring himself that he'd gotten what he needed for the night in his bag.

He stood up, leaving his room, closing the door and headed out towards the gates.

By then he knew the guards by the gates would let him out, even if by himself because of how skilled he was with weaponry.

"Alright. Time to find that spot again."

Jimin knew that if he found that spot again, he might see that zombie again and test if it actually intended to harm him.

And even if that was the case, he'd brought disinfectant with him as well as some gauze to cover it with, preventing more infection.

With thoughts like that, he paraded down the gravel road for quite some time until he found that spot that they'd stayed at that night.

He slightly stumbled his way, breaking some twigs on the ground in the process of reaching that certain spot.

After finding it, though he had to go back a bit of the way, he eventually go to the spot in between where their tent was and the encounter he had.

He took his bag and kneeled down, taking the tent, and setting it up for the night.

He got everything up and ready, and he even got a small fire set up.

He was going through his bag, searching and checklisting everything he brought along, making sure he didn't forget anything, even if he was kind of far off from his sanctuary.

He kept searching through his bag for food until he realized it had gotten quite dark out.

He started to freak out, thinking that he forgot his food and water to bring along.

But he thought he'd eventually find some kind of edible berry or plant of some kind, so he started to freak out a little less.

Anyway, he knew if he had an encounter with the zombie, that'd be his chance to prove to Tae that he was right about it.

Before he realized it, he been thinking so long that the sky eventually turned dark. Thankfully he got his tent set up in time though.

He felt tired and eventually slipped into his tent, covering himself in sleeping bag and fell into a dark, comforting sleep.

But he didn't know the kind of night he had ahead of him.
