Jimin had woken up the next morning, seeing the orange color of the tent radiate throughout the space.
He felt like he slept hard, but then he suddenly remembered about last night....
Did that actually happen? Why didn't it bite or hurt him?
It couldn't have been that this one actually had a conscience, right?
He sat up, the sleeping bag around his hips. He stretched then rubbed his face, but he felt tear stains...
Why were there tear stains? Did it scare him so bad that he cried in his sleep? But it didn't bite or hurt him, so why?
He decided to not worry about it, and get everything packed to head back so he could prove to Tae that it wouldn't harm him some way.
He slowly stood up, joints and bones creaking under the movement, then opened the zippered entrance of the tent and left it.
He began packing the bowls and utensils in his bag... until he heard the twig breakage again.
"What was that? It couldn't be..." Jimin said, shock and scare in his voice, but whispering so he wouldn't attract anymore attention to himself.
So he stood still for a moment until he felt brave enough to stand up and walk over, knife in hand.
His heart was pounding, eyes darting around for any sign of the zombie.
He didn't hear it for a while.
He walked some more, not seeing a huge rock in the ground, and tripping over it, falling down.
"Ouch!!!! What the heck? What did I trip over? Nothings there!!!" He said after falling, warranting a half back scream and both hands wrapped around his ankle.
He forgot about being quiet, but couldn't care less right now.
I mean, he was hurt. He wasn't just gonna go screaming out in pain, especially in the apocalypse.
So he held in his scream, looking around for any signs of zombies.
He saw nothing, taking that as I sign that he was quiet enough, and could continue walking to find the source of the noise.
He got up a few seconds after, stumbling to his feet in the process.
He slowly started walking, then after a few minutes looking back to scan the area.
He kept looking back, only to bump into something solid, so he looked forward, finding what was blocking his path.
His eyes went wide, chills traveling down his spine. Every nerve in his body completely in shock.
It was the zombie.
He ran into the zombie.
He was scared, so he tried turning around and limping back to his campsite, but he couldn't.
Something was holding him back.
The zombie had a tight hold of his wrist.
How could a zombie be so strong?
Jimin tried tugging away, but it was no use... the zombie had a strong, unbreakable hold of him.
And it wouldn't let go.
"Let go of me!!! Why won't you let me go?!?!" Jimin said.
But why did he think the zombie could or would understand what he was saying? That was stupid to say.
He was broken out of his thoughts, only to realize the zombie was dragging him at a slow pace along with him.
And it just wouldn't let go, no matter how many times he tried, the zombie wouldn't let go.
"Please let me go. I have to go, just please... let me go!!!" At this point, he was yelling, struggling all he could to try and escape the zombie's grasp.
But to no avail, he lost every attempt in escaping.
"Why won't you let go?" Jimin said this time, with more sadness in his voice. It was so quiet, he almost didn't hear himself say it.
Why would the zombie let him go, he thought.
Was it taking him with it to snack on later?
He kept thinking about Tae, and how sad he'd be to find out his bestfriend, Jimin, had died while trying to prove something.
But Jimin didn't know the reason the zombie had drug him along with it.
