Chapter 51: Files

As Jimin had read what was on the papers that Minha had handed him, he tried to piece everything together, from seeing huge test tubes with bodies literally floating in substances he had no idea of to the rather unsettling image of everything he'd imagined from reading the papers and seeing multiple things scattered along the floors, not to mention the body-

"Hey... who's that?" Jimin pointed out a rather ominous figure popping out in the background of the picture that had been taken of the plant wgen it had just blown up - or rather, a little after- since the fumes would knock someone out.

"Who? Where are you looking?" Minha asked him, eyes swooping everywhere on the paper, desperate to see what the other had seen that looked suspicious.

"There. A few feet behind the reporter lady. He's got a suspicious brown raincoat on. He looks like he's guilty of something." Jimin pointed to the man behind the reporter. The man had been facing away from the camera, but he could tell he knew him from somewhere.

"Oh, Him?" Minha questioned, wondering if she also knew the man.

"Yeah. Doesn't he look familiar? I don't know if that's just me, but-"

"Yes, he does" Minha jumped in, startling the latter. "Good catch actually, because I think I recognize him." Minha finished, pointing to the man in the background.

"Do you?!?" Jimin half yelled, shock rising at the thought of finally pegging who this could've been.

"Yes. I think I met him last week, actually. I'd recognize the coat anywhere. I don't know his name, but he stopped to talk to me on his way back from the path. Though I don't remember anything he said, I could tell he was up to no good." Minha stated.

"Wait, I think I know who your talking about! I think I met him as well! I think he's the guy that questioned us at the gate when we brought Jungkook back with us." Jimin said, feeling ecstatic about figuring out who the man was.

"Did he have the raincoat on that day?" Minha asked. She wanted to know if she was being delusional or not.

"Yeah, he did." Jimin started "He's the one who asked Jungkook to state his name after we did, to make sure he wasn't undead or infected."

"We have to go to the plant."

"Wait! We need to figure out how Jungkook got bit. We can't go just yet." Jimin jumped. He wanted to figure this out, who bit Jungkook and who started everything.

"Ok. We'll figure out how everything started and how Jungkook got bit." Minha exhaled. She was excited to see how the plant looked after it blew up, but she needed to help her friends first.

Because that's what friends do. They help you in your time of need, without question.

"So, since we need to figure out how Jungkook got bit, let's try looking through the rest of the cabinets see if we can find tapes of anything involved around him." Minha ordered, pointing at the cabinets.

"You too, Tae. You've got to help as well." Minha ordered Taehyung, who'd been busy playing patty cake with Jungkook, who looked invested in figuring it out.

"Oh, yeah... sorry. I was just teaching Jungkook this game." Tae apologized, scampering over to the cabinets again, started to look through all of the files in the rusted boxes holding all the paperwork.

Hopefully they could find a paper of tape of that day where Jungkook got bit.

Because to figure everything out, they had to start from the first part; finding out everything they can about how and where the one came from that bit Jungkook, turning him into this horrible undead being, which he'd never wanted, but was forced upon him.

They started looking around, hoping to find something, anything.
