Chapter 48: Thoughts

Jimin, Taehyung, Minha and Jungkook were all packed up and ready to go by the time the sun was 1/4 way up the sky, meaning they'd left their little camping spot around 9-10 ish.

"So, Minha. Can you really show us the way to the building?" Jimin questioned.

"Of course she can, Chim Chim. It's not like she has the memory of a goldfish." Tae jabbed. (I'm aware that they might have more memory than that, it just depends where you get info from).

"Tae, don't be a jerk. Nobody likes jerks." Jimin replied, casting glances all around them as they marched forward.

"According to my memory of the location of the place, there was a huge abandoned, maybe even disserted highway leading to that horrid place." Minha suddenly spoke, earning the attention of the two boys, though Jungkook was just staring endlessly some more.

Of course, though, he was walking along with them. He didn't want to be alone again.

Not after everything that happened before.

He couldn't go through that again.

After what had seemed a while of them walking continuously, without end and dead tired with sore feet, they'd reached the beginning of the road.

"So, this is the road your father took you on?" Jimin started, nerves silently hitting him at the thought of actually getting to see the place where Minha had been injected.

"Yes, but it's going to take us a day or so to actually get there." Minha replied.

"That's ok. We've been camping out for a bit anyway. One more night can't hurt." Tae stated, eyeing around the environment, in hopes of catching an early glimpse of the abandoned, broken down building.

"Hey, um... Minha?" Jimin started.

Turning to face him as they'd  continued to walk, Minha said "Yes?"

"How will we know if they're similar at all? The vials, I mean. How are we going to know if they're anything close to each other?" Jimin questioned.

He was curious, because he wanted to see for himself if what the zombie had was anything close to what Minha had been injected with.

And they needed to go to the plant where it all started, because that could be where Jungkook had gotten it from, but the thing was, when Jungkook had told him his background, he was nowhere near the plant when it all started, so that was definitely something the group would have to investigate.

That is, if they wanted answers.

It just mattered if there were to be any expected guests along the way.

Because if there were any "guests", Jimin, Tae and Minha would have to protect the zombie, should anything happen to it or if the unexpected guest would try and harm Jungkook.

And that would definitely intefere with what they'd been trying trying to do for a few days, because Jimin really wanted to figure out what was making everyone turn into zombies or undead beings as soon as they had infliction happen upon them or they die suddenly.

And mainly, why Jungkook's heart started beating very faintly that night.

Jimin just had to know why that was happening, seeing as that doesn't, or hasn't ever happened before and in which was definitely not normal in any way, shape or form.

Snapping out of his thoughts, Jimin glanced around, walking in autopilot as he'd just had a deep internal monologue.

"You ok there, Chim?" Tae suddenly spoke, hand softly caressing his arm in comfort, realizing that Jimin had been internally arguing with himself.

"Yeah," Jimin started "I just want to know why his heart started beating..."

Jimin had really been fighting himself on this one, because mainly, he didn't know if he should believe what Minha had told him about Jungkook becoming more human from him himself.

It was just a matter of something, or someone showing up along the way.
