Zombie (Jikook)(COMPLETED)

Chapter 61: Adding

After watching the visibly rotted zombie walking back into the tree line, and watching Jungkook slink forward with a stride of authority, Jimin, Tae and Minha had all looked at each other with shock written across every contour of their faces.

"What just happened..." Taehyung broke the silence.

"I have no idea..." Minha jumped in, shaking her head to get the shaking feeling to disappear, starting to walk again.

"I guess we may or may not find out when we get to the plant." Jimin added in, hoping to get them to see that they actually had to get there to maybe finally understand why everything was going on, when it happened and what made it happen.

"Look's like we might find out when we get there." Minha agreed, nudging Taehyung forward, as he was still caught up in everything he'd just witnessed.

And so they all set off, walking towards what was bound to be their demise, walking on the road, bits of rock and gravel crunching underneath their feet.

After what had been a pretty long walk, and multiple stops for some water and checking their surroundings, Tae chimed in "Hey... anybody smell that?"

Mentally questioning what Tae was talking about, Jimin began to sniff the air.

He began to think about what it smelled like.

His thoughts immediately went to rotten eggs, phosporus, mainly the stinky smells.

"We've got to be getting close to the plant with a smell like that." Minha stated, hand coming up to cover her nose, protecting her sense of smell.

"Guys, do you think the smell has anything to do with how everybody turned into zombies?" Jimin questioned, looking to the others for approval.

"I would say so. I'm not expert about that stuff, but I think that could be what's causing everything." Both Tae and Minha said in unison.

"Y-yes..." They all turned their heads at hearing Jungkook speaking up.

Jimin had taken a concerned look back at Jungkook, watching his pale skin contort into what had seemed like almost a kind of... sadness?

Jimin wondered why he looked so sad.

It's not like he saw Jungkook in the tape he watched, but he didn't know how close the undead boy had lived to the plant beforehand, so there's no way he could or would know when, where, why, how, and by who Jungkook got bit...

Then he suddenly thoyght bsck to wgen he'd gotten the undead boy to tell the story of how he'd gotten bit.

He remembered Jungkook telling him about how he got bit by a zombie after coming out of a convenience store.

Then, he remembered the location of it once Jungkook had described what it looked like.

His eyes went wide. He figured it out.

"Guys! I think Jungkook got bit by someone that was too close to the fumes of the plant to escape it, so they turned and wandered out to the gas station where Jungkook was when he got bit by that zombie!!!!" Jimin yelled, frantic and excited about figuring everything out.

It was then that Jimin took another glance back back at Jungkook, who had also looked at him like he just cracked an ancient code.

"Well, we better go and see things for ourselves before we jump to any conclusions." Tae stated.

It's not that Taehyung didn't believe Jimin, it's just that he thought it was too early to make any assumptions.

Make up things that could turn out not to be true.

"What? You don't believe me Taehyung? Think about it. Everything adds up. The zombie that bit him couldn't get out of there in time, wandered around, and bit Jungkook." Jimin stated, staring at Tae as he explained everything.

Now they just had to go to the plant and check every file and paper they could.

But they didn't know what dangers awaited them.
