Looks of shock and distrust marked Jimin's face as well was as Tae's when the girl introduced herself.
"I'm Minha." She had said, look of 'what' on her face.
"W-wait, who are you?" Tae asked, shaking his head as if he hadn't caught her name the first time.
"Hello... I'm Minha." She said, breaking the sudden silence that had fallen over them.
"Who are you?" Tae repeated, unsure if he was hearing right.
"I said I'm Minha." She responded, nonchalantly shrugging her shoulders, as if they should know exactly who she is.
"Why are you out here? Are you scavanging or something?" Jimin asked, drigging right to the core of the situation that had presented itself.
"Oh, I'm out here because I was looking for anymore wheat seed packets lying around. I usually do the cooking and baking back at the sanctuary, but I though I should go out, find somethings that might be worth while and bring them back." Minha said, looking around them everywhere, feeling the cold breeze brush up against her skin.
"Wait... if you usually do the cooking and baking at the sanctuary, why are you out here? You could easily use any seeds that have dropped of fallen off and plant them, so why?" Jimin asked, caution laced within his voice at her.
At this point, Jimin was pretty skeptical about Minha. He didn't know if he could trust her.
Especially not with how she just crept out of nowhere and started introducing herself.
"Oh, it's because I prefer how they grow from the packet. Just preference is all, really." Minha added, looking over to find a zombie that was just sitting down, minding it's own business.
She'd jumped slightly when the two had met eyes. It's eyes caused her to grow smaller in fear.
Something about its eyes scared her to a depth she couldn't comprehend or understand.
But, it had reminded her of when she was younger. She had been taken to a place she didn't know, and injected with something that she had no idea about.
Those times were terrible, but she learned to cope with it, seeing as she's stuck with it for life.
Then suddenly, her senses had picked up something.
But ultimately, she'd ignored it.
"So, why are guys dragging this zombie everywhere with you?" Minha asked, curious about why it hadn't had one of them for it's dinner.
Tae took notice of the sudden interest and began "Well... there was a night that me and Chimmie he-" Jimin interrupted.
"Tae!!! She doesn't need to know every little detail!!!!" Jimin had whispered with intensity at Tae.
It wasn't the story, it was Tae's nickname for Jimin.
For some reason, Tae insisted on calling Jimin Chimmie, Chim, Chim Chim or any combination of them ever since the one time Jimin came out of his room wearing a yellow sweater with a character on it. Almost reminding him of a dog.
"Why not? It's going to happen eventually. Why not just say it now? Besides, I don't think our new friend even cares." Tae stated, switching between his bestfriend, new friend, and the zombie, who by the way, had laid on its back and stared up to the now dark blue sky.
The sun had already set by the time they'd finished bickering about the 'useless' nickname Tae had decided to give Jimin.
"So, Minha... since you've been living at the sanctuary, how come we haven't seen you around before?" Jimin questioned, voice getting a tone deeper.
"Oh, well... umm, I've been there for a while, but I think it's just because we live on opposite sides of the sanctuary. That's why." Minha said, any nervousness vanishing.
Then, all of a sudden, Jimin had asked something begging to be asked once he'd spotted what color her eyes were.
They weren't normal, human eyes.
They were blue.
Would she reveal her past to them?
