I swing my way back to S.H.I.E.L.D Headquarters. When I enter the main room, I find Gwen helping Flash with a Candy Crush level.

"Let me guess, it's one of the levels where you have to bring down the fruits?" I ask.

"Yes, which he's been stuck on the same level for the past half hour now," Gwen replies. "If he doesn't win this one, I give up!"

"Someone's not being a good sport," Flash remarks.

"Yeah, and that someone asks for help yet when I give a suggestion, he insists his way," she says.

"Fine, don't help me!" he tells her.

"Yay!" Gwen sighs and gets up. "So, you defeated the other villains?" she asks walking up to me.

"You bet!" I tell her. "Rhino was already arrested when I got there."

"Well that's not a shocker!" Gwen exclaims and laughs slightly.

 I laugh too.

"So, there's something you need to know," she says.

"Okay, what is it?" I ask her.

"The medicine Flash was injected with, it's the same one they used on me."

"Yeah, I kind of figured that out."

 "Really?"

 "Could've it been anymore obvious?!"

"Okay, so what do you say about backing me up on asking Nick what's in it?" she asks.

"I say I'm in, but first, I have to convince him on letting you stay," I tell her.

 "Convince who?"

 We turn around. It's Nick.

"Nick, I need you to let Gwen stay," I start. "I was right. Gwen's dad only wanted me to leave her out of the bad situations. He never wanted us to break up. He told me in a dream. He said he trusts me. He knows I can protect her. He even mentioned to keep her away from you! You know all of the sadness you have caused? You know what it was like to think that your girlfriend was dead for a year? It was horrible! Imagine how Gwen's family feels. They still don't know the truth. Well kinda. But think about it! Her family misses her. I miss the freedom of spending time with her whenever I want to. And we need each other. I save her, and she saves me. I love her, and she loves me, and there's nothing that you can ever do that would change that. So keeping her away from me was a huge mistake!"

"Peter Parker, you are not to tell me what's a mistake and what's not a mistake," Nick tells me. "But you're right."

We're all silent, stunned, in shock.

Nick, telling me I'm right? This is unheard of!

"You're right," he says again. "I shouldn't have kept her away. I should have told you guys that she was alive from the beginning. I should have let her be with you guys after she woke up from her coma. I'm sorry, to all of you guys. Gwen, I'm sorry for keeping you away from your boyfriend, your family, and friends. Peter, I'm sorry for lying to you and for keeping Gwen away. I never meant to be the bad guy here. I just thought I was doing what's best for everyone. But after what I saw today, it turns out I was very wrong. Gwen, if you hadn't listen to my orders and had never stopped the bomb, there would be no us right now. Peter and Flash, you guys did a great job taking down Harry and Felicia. And Peter, you also successfully defeated the other villains. I'm very impressed with you all. You make a great team. Also, Peter and Gwen, you guys are meant to be. I've never seen a more beautiful couple than you guys. Again I'm very sorry for keeping you guys apart. I don't expect you guys to forgive me, but if you did, that would be great."

I am still trying to process these words into my brain. I can't believe he gave in this easily! I can tell he's sincere. I mean I'm not happy with what he did, and I'm not saying it was right, but I can tell he meant it for the best. I decide to forgive him.

"I forgive you, if you promise to never do it again," I tell him.

 "I promise," he smiles.

"I forgive you too," Gwen says.

"YES!" Flash exclaims and starts running around in circles again. Great, the medicine didn't wear off yet.

"Yeah Flash, everything is back to normal now," I say.

"I'm not talking about that," he says. "I mean that's great too, but I'm happy because I finally passed the level!"

Gwen, Nick, and I let out a huge sigh. Flash is some person!

"So Nick, I was hoping you would tell us what's inside the medicine you injected Flash and me with," Gwen says.

"Yeah, I think they have the right to know what you injected into their own bodies," I add.

Nick is silent for a moment. Then he finally says, "Wait right here." He walks out of the room.

"Where do you think he's going?" Gwen asks me.

"I don't know, he's probably bringing whatever the medicine is contained with to show us," I reply.

I have a gut feeling it's the blood of a radioactive spider. My only doubt I have against that theory is that Gwen and Flash don't have any powers, so I wonder what it could be.

All of a sudden, Nick returns to the room with two familiar faces behind him.

No, it can't be! But it is.

 My parents.
