I grew up learning that Sundays are always reserved for solemnity. I am used to attend mass consistently every Sundays of the week. Well, It's our family tradition. Epecially that I live in this country with both Spanish and Filipino culture upon growing up.But as time passes by and as I get to see what the world really looks like... everything seems changing and worsening..
From a typical Sundays to a deadly ones..
From a solemn moments to grievous ones..
That's what life actually is.
Change is constant.
Change is inevitable.
"I never thought you are this bad," She uttered upon facing me.
Her eyes are bloodshot, tears are starting to form in her eyes again. Like a whinning child, she's like that ever since.
"You would never dare to see my worst," I said.
She nodded and whipped her tears. How I wished I can still wipe those tears only if there are no bloodstains on my hand.
"I loathe you and the way you've become," She coldly said. She was never like this but I turned her into one.
"If I never became like this, I won't be able to protect you," I said, convincing her that I am not what she thinks I am. I am better than this, I am better than the man I was before.
"You can protect me with no harm, but you chose to do it otherwise." She said with finality.
She stepped away from me, I can see hatred in her eyes. She turned her back at me, I was unable to chase her nor move a bit.
That was surely the biggest fear in me.
Because she never looked at me the same way as before after she witnessed who I really am.
After I tried saving her life from danger.. After keeping her away from the things that will hurt her, she will still leave.. She will still be gone.
