After we found out how the Torreses are backmailing Marco Dela Vega, we decided to dwell more with the case.

I was a bit surprised when I saw Max in the office of Abuelo. Naabutan ko siyang prenteng nakaupo at umiinom ng shake habang si Lolo ay nakaupo sa swivel chair at may kung anong pinipirmahan.

Kumunot kaagad ang noo ko sa pinsan ko, nagkibit balikat lang siya sa akin.

"Ano 'yan, Lo?" I asked.

"He wants to enter the Intelligence Team too," Sagot sa akin ni Lolo. Agad akong bumaling kay Max pero wala siyang reaksyon.

"You can't." Simpleng sabi ko.

He hissed, "You're my bestfriend and you didn't told me anything about this?" Bakas ang inis sa boses.

"I can handle this alone,"

Umiling siya at tumayo. "This is about our family, Gust. I can't let you go on alone."

"'Yan ba talaga ang dahilan?" I asked again.

It must be something else.

"Richela's life is at risk too. His father has something to do with the case," Aniya.

I sighed and shrugged.

"Richela again? How about your girlfriend, then?" I asked. Napukaw kaagad noon ang atensyon ni Lolo.

"I thought you broke up with your girlfriend?" Singit ni Lolo.

Napahilamos ng mukha si Max. "Yes. Kaya nga dito ko nalang uubusin ang oras ko." Aniya.

I smirked.

"That's not enough, Max. Maghanap ka nalang ng bagong babae, huwag ka nang makisali dito." Sabi ko.

"No." Matigas na sabi niya. "I care for Richela. We all know the Torreses would kill her anytime, I can't let that happen,"

"Oh, akala ko ba dahil sa pamilya natin kaya mo gustong sumali?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

"Shut it, Gust! I won't let you alone. Sa ayaw o sa gusto mo, tutulong ako." Aniya saka kinuha na kay Lolo ang envelope at walang pasubaling umalis doon.

Lolo stared at me and sighed. "He's just concerned about you." Aniya.

I nodded and pinched my nose.

Marco Dela Vega was able to bailed out. Tito Oliver asked them to go out of the country for the mean time, it's safer for them. Lalo pa't narito naman ang mga Torres.

After that issue, everything went back to normal, Faith and I became closer.

We usually go on lunch together with Caius, minsan kaming dalawa lang. It is just a little thing that I looked up every single day.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit, pero isa lang ang sigurado ako... Masaya akong kasama siya. Sana ganoon din siya.

But now, I am really convinced that the Torreses are pain in the ass.

Caius texted me to wait for Faith because she's still talking to Drew. I've waited for a couple of minutes until  I saw how Faith cried herself alone while walking in the lot. Balak ko sanang lapitan siya pero pakiramdam ko ay hindi ako makakatulong, at mukhang nagmamadali din siya.

Why did she cried? Why is she crying? Did something happened between her and Drew? Nag-away ba sila?

I was not really nosy about their relationship. Alam kong nanliligaw si Drew at siguro, gusto din siya ni Faith kaya hinayaan niya 'to. But other than that, I really have no clue.
