73. Home.

Katie:

I felt a nudge on my shoulder and immediately woke up,looking down at Alex still asleep in my arms.I also noticed  Harry packing his belongings into his backpack.

I slid open the window lid and squinting my eyes at the sunlight reflecting against the glass,i wonder what time it is right now.

"Good morning love."Greeted Harry with a sleepy smile.

"And good morning my perfect human."greeted Harry once more as he leaned in to kiss Alex on the cheek and i smiled at his cuteness and affection.

God i love this man..

"We're about to land,oh god i can't wait to see Gemma and mom's reaction when they see Alex for the first time." he mentioned excitedly,running his fingers through his curls and i chuckled."Anne is going to sob and Gemma..well we'll see."i said and he giggled,nodding his head and agreeing with me.

After we had packed our belongings and waited for the plane to touch down,Jeff,Harry and i got ready to walk down the plane stairs.

Now i know how it feels like to feel over protective over someone, i was already feeling terrified and anxious to walk down the stairs with Alex in my arms.I can't even imagine hurting him, i would actually start crying.

We walked towards the back of the airport because we didn't want any attention on us or cause a big scene at the airport,we wanted this to be as secretive and safe as possible.Surprisingly there were no fans at sight,no one knew we were here.The four of us got into the car and made our way back home but we had to drop Jeff back at his place before heading back to my place.Anne has been house sitting my place since Harry and I had left for New York and she was also taking care of Katherine.

Once we arrived to the guard house at my place and scanned my residence card,our personal driver drove us to the front gate and we thanked him before we got out of the car.I forgot how good it feels like to be back home,i'm so glad that i'm home.

"Mummy's going to freak!"said Harry from out of nowhere and i giggled at his excitement.

I could tell that he was genuinely excited to see Anne and Gemma's reaction to Alexander and so i did what i should do,"Hey H?" i called him as i rocked Alex back and forth and he looked at me,raising both of his eyebrows.

"Take him to mummy and Gemma.."i said as i slowly handed Alex to Harry and he had the biggest smile on his face as he carried Alex into his arms.

We walked to the front porch together and rung the doorbell,anxiously waiting for Anne to come and open the door.We heard the sound of faint footsteps approaching and then the door was opened by Anne,her eyes immediately lighting up the moment she laid her eyes on the three of us.

"OH MY GOD."said Anne excitedly when her eyes landed on Harry carrying Alex,she already had tears pooling in her eyes.

I then saw Gemma and Katherine running towards our direction as well and the moment they saw Alex,they were jumping with joy.

It was so pure to see Katherine get all happy to see Alex,i've never seen her this excited about anything.Gemma was trying to control herself from crying but the moment Harry smiled at her with Alex in his arms,she really lost it.

"Harry-he's so beautiful,i'm speechless darling."whispered Anne as she admired Alex and Harry nodded his slowly giving his mother a small smile.

"C-can i hold him son?"asked Anne,wiping her tears with her fingertips,"Of course you can mom."replied Harry,slowly handing Alex to Anne.

Gemma was still in shocked,in fact she hasn't even said a single word yet.She was just looking at Alex with tears running down her face,she was incredibly emotional and Harry had noticed."That's your godson Gems."mentioned Harry as he walked closer to Gemma.

Gemma placed her attention back to Harry with a shocked look plastered on her face when she heard what Harry had just said.

"W-what? are you serious Haz?"a nervous smile forming on her face,causing Harry and I to chuckle at her reaction.

"Yes,Harry and I talked about it in the hospital and we really think you'll be an amazing godmother to Alex."i gave her a reassuring smile and she immediately ran towards me,hugging me tightly.

"I fucking love you both so much."she said happily,using  her other hand to drag Harry by the arm making him join the hug,a laugh escaping the three of us.

"And Kat?"called Gemma and i hummed in response.

"Congratulations on your delivery,Alexander is perfect."she says and i couldn't help but tear up,she was the sweetest girl ever.

I looked over at Katherine and saw that she was admiring Alex in Anne's arms,i could even hear her asking Anne questions about why his eyes aren't open as big or why his cheeks were so red.It was just such an adorable sight to see.

"Hi bubs,i miss you so much."i said to Katherine and she quickly turned to look at me with the biggest smiled plastered on her face.immediately running towards me with open arms and engulfing me with the most tightest hug,i needed this.I haven't seen her in almost 2 weeks,i hated the feeling when you're away from your loved ones."I miss you sooo much." She says,making sure to really emphasise the word "so".

"Alex is so cute,i love him so much already."she mentions with a tiny shriek and i giggled at how cute and loving she was being right now.

"Katherine darling,now you gotta start taking care of Alex as well okay?"Mentioned Harry as he bent down in front of Katherine and she nodded her head happily.

"Oh Kat..i can't believe i'm a grandmother,i've never been this happy in such a long time."said Anne,looking at me with tears of joy.

"I'm very glad that you're happy Anne,he's going to love you very much,i just know it."i said to her,sending her a reassuring smile.Anne gently handed Alex to Gemma and then she walked up to me to give me a warm hug.

"Your mom would've been so proud.."whispered Anne as she rubbed my back gently.My face softening the moment i heard her mention my mother,the feeling has crept up on me once again.

Don't cry don't cry don't cry

"But even though she isn't here to experience this very moment,i just want you to know that i am extremely proud of you and for all that you've done.You're a strong and independent woman Katie,you deserve nothing but love and happiness.Harry,Gemma and I are very lucky to have someone like you in our lives,we are beyond blessed."said Anne and i just lost it.

I started crying not because i was sad,i was just overwhelmed with happiness and love and i really needed to hear those words after having to go through such stressful months.

If only she knew how lucky i actually was to have all the three of them in my life.
