83.Blind Dates & Brunch.

Katie:

"No Harris,that's ridiculous!"

"Why is it ridiculous?! Harry isn't even in the picture anymore and it's not wrong to at least try one date.Just one Date."explained Harris and i shook my head in disbelief,i couldn't believe he was even asking me that question.

Harris has offered me to go out on a blind date with a friend of his that he had met through fashion school.I was really shocked that he had even ask me that in the first place because..well he knew about my situation with Harry.I know we're not dating anymore but i guess i've always had this picture in my mind that Harry and i were endgame.

"Harris..."i mumbled as i covered my face with the custom made pillow that Harry had gotten me for Christmas.

You see?? Everything i do,Harry was somehow always around.

"If you really think about it,it's not wrong.You can just give it a try and if you think it's not going well for you,then just act like as if it never happened.I promise you he's a really nice guy and he's an absolute gentleman,he has a son as well."said Harris with a hopeful look on his face and i turned my head to face him.

He wasn't wrong..it wouldn't kill to just go on one date.It feels so weird for me because i feel like i'm cheating on Harry but i'm not?? But then again,i shouldn't feel guilty on giving myself another try for just one time,if it doesn't work out then..it's not meant to be.I couldn't believe i was going to agree to this..

"Ugh,i can't believe you can just convince me to go out on a blind date with a stranger.."i groaned and he clapped his hands excitedly,immediately giving me a tight hug.

"When is this date?"i asked him nervously as i sat up properly,crossing both of my legs together.

"Tonight." i choked on my saliva at the sudden response.

"What?!"i exclaimed,my eyes widening in shock.

"Why? Harry's not going to know and if he asks you where you'll be heading out,just tell him that you're going out with your friend from the office."answered Harris and i sighed out softly.

I couldn't believe this,i'm going on a blind date tonight while Harry's going to stay at home to take care of Alexander.I felt like the worst mother ever..i should be staying at home with the both of them.

Just as i was about to change my mind,i heard the sound of a man clearing his throat.Making Harris and i turn our head towards the living room entrance and we noticed that Harry had already came in.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck.
What if he had heard our conversation? I totally forgot that he has a spare key for this house,my heart felt like it was about to pop out of my chest.

Harry:

I finally reached the patio and slowly opened the front door with the spare key that Kat had given me.I walked into the house and just as i was about to close the door,i heard the sounds of people talking from the living room.

I gently closed the door and took my shoes off before slowly walking towards the living room but then i heard Harris's voice and i couldn't help but freeze in my tracks.

"When is this date?"i heard Kat's voice.

"Tonight."answered Harris and i heard the sound of Kat choking on her own saliva.

What were they even talking about?

"Why? Harry's not going to know and if he asks you where you'll be heading out,just tell him that you're going out with your friend from the office."said Harris and i felt my heart dropped at her response.

Kat's going to go on a date tonight..?
Was she really going on a date with someone else?Who was she even going out with..?
I felt hurt but then again i couldn't say no because we weren't together but still...we have a child together.

I walked into living room awkwardly,clearing my throat so that they would know that i had finally arrived.The look on Kat's face was indescribable,she looked so nervous and terrified."Hey guys."i greeted them,trying not make it seem like i knew what they were talking about.

"H-hi Harry,when did you arrive?"asked Kat nervously as she stood up from the couch.

"Uhm- i just came actually,why is there something wrong?"i asked her as i bit my lip and she shook her head."No..so um,you ready to head out?"She asked as she tied her hair up into a loose ponytail and i nodded my head.

She then walked upstairs,leaving Harris and i alone in the living room.

God..the awkward silence in this room was just terrible,i couldn't make it seem like as if i had just heard their conversation.

I walked over to couch and sat next to Harris.
"You heard didn't you?"asked Harris unexpectedly and my eyes widened when he had asked me that.

"W-what? heard what?"i answered him nervously and he lets out a soft chuckle.

"About what Kat and I were talking about."said Harris and i knew i couldn't lie about it anymore,the way i was acting..it was too obvious.

"Are you mad at me Harry..?"asked Harris softly as he placed a hand on my shoulder and i sighed out.

I was just being selfish and it hurts.
But it wasn't his fault..it was all mine.
Harris was only trying to be a good friend to Kat by helping her move on and find happiness.I am the one that's being incredibly selfish and not wanting her to move on.I should've been taking her out on a date and not some random guy.

"No..she's allowed to go out with whoever she wants to."i said to Harris,trying to clear out the hurt plastered in my voice.

She wasn't allowed to go out with anyone. She should be with me and that's all.

"You really think so?"asked Harris and i nodded my head,running my fingers through my hair.
"Who is she even going on a date with?"i asked him curiously,trying not too sound desperate or jealous.

"Uhm you remember Michael right? The man i introduced you to at the Gucci after party with the brunette hair,bright red sweater and quite the joker?"Reminds Harris and i couldn't help but clench my fist at his words.

The dude was so attractive that even i couldn't keep my eyes off him when Harris had introduced me to him that day.He was really nice and polite but just thinking about Kat going on a date with a guy like Michael..made me sick.I wanted to punch this guy's face but it wouldn't even make sense if i did because the dude did absolutely nothing.I should've kissed her last night,she wanted to kiss me and i turned her down.I wanted to be respectful towards her but now that i'm hearing that she's going out on a date..fuck,i should've kissed her.

"Oh okay..he's cool."i said to him with no expression on my face.I then noticed Kat walking into the living room with Alex in her arms and i couldn't help  but smile the moment i laid my eyes on Alex.I instantly got up from the couch and walked over to them.

"Hello my little one..daddy missed you lots,it's been a week since i've last seen you."i cooed as i gently carried Alex into my arms and i noticed a smile forming on Kat's face.

Yea sure of course you're happy,it's not like you're going out on a date or anything.I know that i'm being such a jealous prick but i don't care because i love her.Michael does not deserve take her out tonight.

I placed little kisses around Alex's face and he lets out a soft giggle,making my heart feel warm at the sound he had just made.
