Harry:

"Alright i'll set the sofa bed out so that you can be comfortable."

"Harry,relax yourself.It's just an ultrasound,you don't have to make it look like a five star hotel." said Kat as she lets out a loud laugh,causing a chuckle to escape from me.

"I don't want you freaking the fuck out as well,so obviously it needs to be a comfortable environment." I mentioned and she sat down on the couch.

"I'm so lucky to have such a caring boyfriend." teased Kat and i rolled my eyes at her playfully as i walked out of the living room.

We decided to have the ultrasound at my place instead.We only started moving Kat's things into her new house yesterday,so it would just be a massive hassle to have it there. Just as i was about to walk into the kitchen,i received a phone call and noticed that it was from the doctor.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Mr Harold?" questioned the doctor and i cringed at the name.

Kat and i decided to put my name as Harold for the appointment because we didn't want anyone to know about this ultrasound,it is private.

"Hi yes it's Harold." i answered.

"It's doctor Rayven speaking,just thought i'd let you know that i'm already outside."he said, "Oh alright,i'll buzz you in." i replied and we both said our goodbye's and hung up.

I walked towards the front door and looked at the security system and indeed it was him that was standing outside and i unlocked the door by entering the passcode.

"Hi,I'm Harold.It's nice to meet you Doctor Rayven." I greeted him with a warm smile and he shook my hand.

"Nice to meet you too,where should i set my bag ?" he asked politely.I led him to the living room where Kat was sitting down on the couch, "You can set your bags next to the couch." I instructed him and he nodded his head.

I didn't know why i was feeling so nervous ?
I mentally prepared myself for this moment and don't get me wrong,i am feeling excited but this also scares me you know? i'm actually going to see my baby girl or boy for the first time ever.Just the thought of it was already making me have goosebumps.

"Hi Katie,i'm Doctor Rayven it's very nice to meet you." he greeted Kat and she smiled at him,shaking his hand back, "Very nice to meet you,will the couch be okay for the ultrasound or do we need to go somewhere else?" Asked Kat nervously and i placed a hand on her lower back in hopes of calming her down from the anxiety & stress that she was experiencing

"The couch will do just fine,you can start by drinking 2 cups of water.No breaks yeah? because this will help you achieve a full bladder which makes it easier for me to do this ultrasound." he instructed her and Kat nodded,slowly laying down on her back,making sure she was in a comfortable position on the couch.

I poured two cups of warm water for Kat and she gulped it all down,her hands were shaking a little and she kept on wiggling her toes and those were signs to show that she was undergoing a lot of stress and anxiety.I immediately sat down next to her on the stool as we both patiently waited for Rayven to set up the mini computer and tools for the ultrasound,After a solid 5-8 minutes of setting the equipment up,we were finally ready to begin.

"Alright i'm going to need you to lift your shirt up until your whole belly is on display." Instructed Doctor Rayven and Kat listened to him,lifting up her shirt up and displaying her belly for him.There was no baby bump yet because it has only been a few weeks but in about 2-3 weeks time,there should be a small glimpse of the bump.

I hope.

"Now i'm going to apply some lubricant onto your belly and just to let you know,it is really cold." said Rayven as he took the bottle of lubricant out from his bag.The moment he squeezed some product onto Kat's belly,she jumped at the feeling and looked at me with a nervous expression "Baby it's just lubricant, you're all good." I reassured her and she nodded her head ,chuckling at her own reaction.

"So right now i'm using the scanner and spreading the lubricant around,this basically makes it easier to locate the fetus." Mentioned Doctor rayven and she nodded her head understandingly.

"Normally it takes a little time to locat- oh there it is!" he said and my heart stopped.

I could see the little tiny shape of the fetus,still not fully developed obviously but i could see it.

It was perfect.

My eyes immediately watered up at the sight and i looked over to my right,taking in Kat's reaction. She was crying but she had the biggest smile plastered on her face,the happiness radiating on her.

I couldn't believe what was happening right now, that's our baby right there.I'm a father.

"That's-p-perfect." I whispered in disbelief and Kat held my hand tightly, "H?" called Kat and i look at her,making deep eye contact with her.

"We did that." she whispered to me as she wiped my tears away,leaned both of our foreheads together.

"Together." she added and i smiled.

I've never felt this much joy in such a long time,this was another type of feeling.I couldn't describe it and i don't think i ever will.i felt like as if i was floating with happiness.A week ago,i was contemplating and was angry at this whole situation but looking at where i am right now,i'm so glad i got the help to be able to experience this moment right here.

"Congratulations to the both of you,you are in fact pregnant and you can find out the gender of your baby in about 16-20 weeks so..that's in about 4 months time." said Doctor Rayven, "Yea thank you so much,can't wait for that day to come." i thanked him and he gave me a warm smile.

"Would you both like the ultrasound picture printed out?" He asked.

" Yes !" Shouted Kat and I in unison,causing us all to let out a laugh.

"Alright just give me 2 minutes and i'll get it printed for you." mentioned Rayven and i nodded my head.

I took a warm wet towel from the kitchen and helped Kat wiped the lubricant off her stomach and she gently placed her hand on my cheek as i continued to wipe the product off, "You're too sweet to me H." she whispered and i kissed the palm of her hand.

I was so head over heels for this woman,i would honestly do anything and everything for her.Who would've thought i would end up with someone i was working with? Nobody expected that.Kat showed me what it's like to love a little harder and to always put my happiness and mental health as priority. She taught me how to be more patient,loving and kind to others even towards those who do not deserve it. I'm never the type to get all soft and sappy in a relationship but i'm genuinely happy that i finally know what it really feels like to be completely in head over heels in love with someone.

"Isn't this all so crazy?" Mentioned Kat as i stood up and took a seat next to her,chuckling as i placed a hand on top of her left thigh.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Like how i'm pregnant and-yeah." said Kat and i laughed out loud at how cute she sounded.

"You're the crazy one babe." I joked and she slapped my shoulder,making me gasped at her.
"I'm kidding! Ouch you fucking devil." I teased her and she giggled.

"Alright all jokes aside,this is fucking crazy.Until this day,i'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that we're having a baby.I'm not thinking about it in a bad and negative way anymore,i'm actually really excited now but you get what i mean.I'm just really nervous about what's heading towards our way you know? Like how i'll be as a dad or if you could balance your work and taking care of the baby, o-or what if i'm touring and i'll rarely get to see our child and what if he or she isn't close to me?" I rambled to her with a frown on my face and she scooted closer me,leaning her head against my shoulder.

"We'll figure it out i promise." she whispered to me and i sighed out,nodding my head.

"And hey?"i hummed in response.

"You're going to be a great dad,i just know it."
