Letting her go.

Rey walked in front of Kylo, her wrists cuffed. They turned the first corner and came face to face with a group of about twenty stormtroopers.  Rey tensed but then watched in amazement as they parted, their heads bowed. Of course, he was their Supreme Leader, he could do as he pleased.

He took her down to a large metal room filled with escape pods and then paused to punch numbers into one of the pods keypads. The door hissed open and he stepped aside.

Rey turned to him, a grateful smile on her lips.  He waved his hand, releasing the cuffs and handing her her light saber.  He looked back at her, his mind swirling, trying to make sense of the myriad of feelings that were flowing through his body. Suddenly she leant in, rising up on her tiptoes and planted a kiss on his cheek.

Rey paused, her lips on his warm skin, the clean smell of soap filling her nostrils, his soft hair tickling her ear. She felt him shudder.  His breath hitting her cheek.  She pulled away and looked at him.  His lips were slightly parted, a dark lock of hair falling onto his forehead in a soft wave but it was the look in his eyes that made her stop.  They had the same look that the pilots had when he had kissed her.  What did that mean she wondered?

Kylo knew that she had felt the shudder but he hadn't been able to stop himself.  Her lips had been so soft against his face and he had felt her soft breasts pressing against his chest as she'd lent in.  A rush had filled his body and he had felt himself respond to even the simplist of her touches.

Suddenly aware of Rey's eyes moving over him he stepped back from her, enough of a gesture for her to step into the escape pod, nodding her thanks once before sealing the door.  Kylo stood for a moment, watching it leave and then he headed to his chambers.

He cried out in pain as he pulled on his tunic. He knew he should be resting but he also knew that Hux would have seen the pod leave. He slid his hands into his gloves and then pulled on his mask.
