the rules of this are super simple.
come up with concepts for every song that comes on shuffle, while the song is still playing

i'm doing this at like 11pm to avoid falling asleep bc i'm probably gonna have a nightmare tonight lmao (update: i did have a nightmare cool)

possible add on to the let the band play thing where chase just writes a bunch of songs about this guy she used to work with (aka ezra), and they're like,,, this one and do re mi by blackbear and other songs

ghost by halsey—
lewis' early teen years?? especially when he was with alex, like the "i'm always tugging at your sleeve" bit??
lewis clinging to his ""boyfriends"" and feeling like he's being haunted when he's alone and waiting to see them again

garden by halsey—
ahh maybe ezra and ronnie?? like maybe ronnie's pov, for the line "when i first met you, there was a garden growing from a black hole in my mind", which could be symbolism for his personality, and then the long he knows ezra and the more involved they become, the "garden" shrinks and dies off

it will come back by hozier—
maybe a monster au thing where demon logan notices that there's been signs of a werewolf around, so on the night of the full moon he leaves some food out for it. then the morning after, there's either just lewis that shows up at his house for no discernible reason, or maybe he never left and just passed out in logan's backyard lmao for the line "don't feed it, it will come back" and then further in the song "don't you hear me howling"

bam: it's ezra realizing that ronnie's probably the only one that's ever loved him, and in that crackhead way of his, he just decides 'okay can't let this one go so,,,, i'm gonna make sure he can't leave me'

flexicution by logic—
idk all the songs with logic where he's just going on like this (like this one and keanu reeves) i picture logan? and this counts as a fail in my book bc i can't formulate even a vague idea for this one

temporary by chase petra—
i honestly feel a strong connection between this song and myself and it makes me cry a lil bit.
i feel like this is lewis during the end of the relationship with logan??

and this one doesn't rlly count either bc it's not a new idea

okay this ones just here bc i kinda really want the gay cowboy au thing but i know next to nothing about the old west and cowboys
but one thing i'd love for this is chase just pretending to be a guy so she can go do shit like the rest of the guys, and everyone mistakes her for a preteen/teen boy bc of her height and voice when she'd be like 20
and an add on for that could be like,,, ronnie's the only one that actually knows what she's doing and he's like "as long as you don't let my family know what i'm doing and collect the bounty they've got out on me, i won't tell on you"
