(lewis and logan poking fun at alex for old band videos/etc, for example: specifically the ones for badflower's 'mother mary' and 'move me' live from the hideout, bc alex's fc is josh katz from that band)

It didn't take much to convince Alex and Logan to hang out. What took the most convincing was getting them to play a little game Lewis liked to call 'cringe roulette'.

The rules were pretty simple. Pick an old video of someone else, either from YouTube or your own phone, and see if you can make them cringe.

Lewis had pretty much chosen to be in contact with both of them, pressing his back against Alex's side with his legs thrown over Logan's lap. I mean, they were his favorite people, and he was a clingy little guy.

He queued up two Youtube videos on his phone to play on the TV, then tilted his head back to grin up at Alex. "This is gonna be great. You should be scared."

"I'm not. You don't scare me at all. There's nothing too bad out there of me." Alex cast a glance over at Logan, giving him a half smile. "You two, on the other hand..."

"Good point, but... Lewis knows your old band names." Logan pointed out.

Lewis started the first video, calmly explaining, "I'm playing one of my most embarrassing moments before I get to Alex's. This is right before I broke my wrist on our first tour."

The video quality wasn't that great, but clearly, it was taken after a show one night, seeing as most of the band and crew were drinking. You had Lewis, with makeup smudged around his eyes, clutching a bottle of beer close to his chest, and Logan, who seemed more distant, not just physically.

The Lewis onscreen was clearly already over his limit, hanging off of all of his friends and grinning in that sloppy way that usually only happened when he'd been drinking steadily. He kissed Jon's cheek, pulled Spencer in for a hug, but stayed pretty far away from Logan for the most part.

Then, the video suddenly changed, displaying Alex, back before he started bleaching his hair. It was evident he was already embarrassed, from the way he used one hand to cover his eyes and the other to try and cover Logan's. "Nope, okay. I lose, turn it off, babe."

"You're a good singer, so no." Lewis declared, focusing on the screen with a fond smile.

Alex groaned, finally giving up on covering Logan's face. (Logan didn't fight him, and really saw no need to do so. Alex was harmless.) "At least pick 'Move Me' instead of 'Mother Mary'. It's way less creepy."

He shrugged, but happily switched over to the other video. Then, he nudged Logan, and said, "He doesn't like his singing voice, he thinks it sucks. But... he's wrong."

"And even if he did suck, you wouldn't tell him," Logan guessed.

The video didn't play for long, because as soon as Lewis relaxed, Alex snatched the phone from him and quickly set one of With Love's early music videos to play.

(this one is here for the nostalgia factor. sometimes all the cumulative experiences while hearing a song blend together and provide your reaction to hearing it. (my example is 'the end of all things' by p!atd bc a long time was just shit yeah sweet love song and then i listened to it on the way home from a graveside service where the man had been married to the same woman for nearly 75 years and now whenever i hear that song i think of them ))

(one of the songs lewis would cover and post while he's away just because it's easier to cope with emotions when there's that musical buffer. Songwriting is hella therapeutic y'all)

[ okie dokie this is sucky content but i've been in full swing with creating characters / universe guidelines / a playlist / other shit for the story me and my bad mate are working on!!

i literally just sent her a sample writing of two characters to get my token mlm relationship established in the story early on and that dynamic is: guy who's been dead since 1916 who is responsible and the leader is loved by a guy who died in like 2014 who's just a total little shit disaster boy that causes 1916 so many problems but dammit 2014 is just so endearing when he wants to be.
