[ i'm super inspired for lewis + wedding content rn but i'm not gonna overload on that

so,,, here's ideas / little canon things, possibly shitpost-ish things

okay so i know i wasn't gonna overload on the wedding content but,,, inspiration!! gotta use it!!

- lewis gets logan to help him plan (or more accurately, keep him company while he plans and deliberates over every choice for days)

- lewis spends like three weeks deciding on a color scheme. (it ends up being a soft green paired with a soft pink— very delicate and spring themed colors)

- he also spends weeks deciding on a song to use for the first dance at the reception. he was torn between choosing one of with love's songs, a hozier song or a soft rock/alt song. he still doesn't know what he's doing.
(aka it'd be:
- always by panic! at the disco
- i will follow you into the dark by death cab for cutie
- like real people do by hozier
- truly madly deeply by savage garden )
(first day of my life by bright eyes is a contender too)
i can't decide so lewis is very indecisive as well

- logan's obviously his best man. (if logan would've said no, his next choices would've been: his brother, jon, then spencer)

and i realized thanks to elias that i've?? never really posted about the changes i was making to lewis' storyline so:

- lewis still dates z for a few years.
- he proposes, but then when it comes to actually getting married he keeps dragging his feet
- finally, he just takes off for a weekend to get away and think shit over
- and he realizes that he just?? isn't as in love with her as he thought he was
- he still loves her a lot, it's just more platonic than anything
- so when he gets home, he sits down with her and has a heart to heart, explains what's going on, and breaks up with her
- obviously somewhere along the way she noticed something had changed, and being the sweetheart she is, she waits for him to tell her instead of confronting him
- she's not angry. she's probably a little disappointed, but not angry.
- and they're still friends obviously bc i've got another idea involving her for further on so,,,

then the whole alex thing
i need to work on that motherfucker

but currently, his timeline (with lewis) is:

- a few weeks after the z breakup, lewis goes to a record store he's been to a million times before
- he's after a cd he had as a teenager, because his mom found the case for it in the attic but the disk isn't there and it pisses him off
- so he's combing through a crate of used cds, trying to find this specific album, when an employee comes up beside him
- now, he's not looking presentable at all. he's got a huge hoodie on, with the hood up, like he's already trying to dodge deranged fans of a group he hasn't been in for years
- but when the employee starts talking, he turns his head so fast his hood falls down
- the guy doesn't look familiar, but he'd never forget that voice.
- so he's like "alex? is that you?"
- and it's clear that the guy recognizes him too, from warm hug he gives lewis

- then, fast forward a couple weeks
- they've been hanging out a fuck ton, so much that lewis is canceling/ not making plans with logan as much
- they catch up, alex finds out that sober lewis is a lot more fun to be around (and sober alex is a lot better too)
- finally though, they're hanging out in alex's apartment, drinking and watching a movie, when lewis catches him off guard by just straight up kissing him
- lewis ends up sharing alex's bed that night, and then the next morning, before lewis leaves to meet up with someone about his solo music, alex asks him out on a date (lewis calls logan as soon as he gets in his car to squeal and have a girly moment)

- the date is nice, nothing fancy but lewis is definitely okay with that. they just go to an old fashioned diner to get dinner, and then alex literally walks lewis to his door and kisses him before he leaves
- and at this point, lewis is just already loving this, and it's got him feeling butterflies again
- the next time they hang out, alex asks to be his boyfriend and it's just a resounding yes

- then fast forward a year and a half

- they're just hanging out after lewis gets home from the studio, and alex is off of work
- lewis is tired, already in his pajamas, just wanting to be held until he falls asleep
- but alex is like "hey, i got a surprise for you outside cmon"
- although he's ready for bed, he agrees and alex practically drags him into the backyard
- there's fairy lights strung around on the fences and it's right around sunset, so it's really pretty outside
- there's a single red rose, fully bloomed, on the ground, and that's where alex stands, picking up the rose and reaching out to lewis.
- he hands the flower over, then grins and kneels down, digging a ring box from his pocket
- as soon as that box comes out, lewis' hands are over his mouth, he's bursting into tears, he's a damn wreck
- and alex doesn't even ask the question, because lewis is crying harder and his first instinct is set the box down and see if he can help
- but as soon as he goes to stand up, lewis just lunges as him and hugs him tight, kissing his face a few times even though he's Still Crying
- finally he gets calmed down enough that alex grabs the box again and actually gets the ring out, but before he can even get two words out lewis nods almost frantically. so alex slides the ring on his finger

- and they sit like that for an least half an hour, lewis curled up on alex's lap
- at least until alex is like "yo we need to go back inside, all right? please?"
- and on the way back in, alex grabs his phone (which had been recording video and taking pictures the entire time)
- and when they get to lewis' bedroom, alex tells him "you gotta call your mom okay? i'm gonna go take a shower, so,,, call her"

- long story short,,, they both cried
a lot
