pick which one you want to see

[ here i'm tired and my moods are on like a yo-yo and i do not like it.

there are three plots here, one's a lewis-centric and one is chase-and-bailey-centric and the last is lewis-and-logan-and-harry ]

meet in the middle - another attempt at a country au.
lewis lives about a half a mile from one of his friends, and they often sneak out in the middle of the night to hang out. // lewis' pov

I can hardly wait until midnight.

We do this all the time, but there's just something different about tonight. Alex slipped me a note in the hallway at school, the messily scrawled words saying to meet at midnight in the usual place, along with two hearts.

Speaking of hearts, mine's been beating a mile a minute. My mom would lose her mind if she knew I'd been sneaking out, but what she doesn't know won't hurt her.

It's fifteen minutes til midnight now, so that's my cue to get out of bed and pull my boots on. My 'little old lady blanket', as Alex puts it, gets folded up and tucked under my arm. (I just like the floral patterns, but Alex says they look like a grandma's uncomfortable, plastic-covered couch.)

The window by my bed opens up, and that's my escape route. Since this is literally a trailer, I don't have to worry about falling and hurting myself. The window isn't that high off the ground.

Once I close it, I head along the road, the full moon providing enough light to see. There's a cluster of trees just ahead, and that's where we always meet.

"I'm giving the stuff to Ronnie, so he can just tell me what I wanna know. I just wanna know who my real dad is, I don't need to hear that I'm predisposed to alcoholism or anything like that," Chase told Bailey, clutching the paper with her login information close.

"I coulda read it for you," he said, slight frown on his lips as he opened the door to the diner they were meeting at.

She shook her head. "B, you would've worried over every little detail. I know you."

The pair found Ronnie sitting in a booth in the back, clearly not too enthused about being dragged out, but he smiled at them nonetheless. Chase handed over her paper, and only a few moments passed before Ronnie seemed alarmed, glancing between the two of them and his phone.

Finally, he asked, "Bailey, what's your father's name?"

Bailey, the poor guy, confusion written on his face, answered, "James Starling. Why?"

"This explains quite a bit, actually..." Ronnie murmured, locking his phone and setting it down. "Chase... You and Bailey have the same father, if this is correct. You're brother and sister."
